  1. He is also going to be at the Peterborough vs Oxford game tonight. Assume with Peterborough being one of his former clubs, the League one play offs are of interest to him.
  2. Not sure if this has already been shared, no idea what time tomorrow its on https://linktr.ee/notippytappyfootball
  3. Philogene was about £5M Omur, Pandur and Connelly each cost between £1M and £2M That's £10M on permanent signings for last season https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hull-city/transfers/verein/3008/plus/?saison_id=2023&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= High wages paid for numerous imports from Turkey etc and large loan fees for the likes of Delap, Carvalho, Morton, Zaroury, Giles, who were all highly sought after loans by numerous Championship clubs They spent loads this season, probably more than any Championship clubs but the relegated 3 of Leeds, Leicester, & Southampton, by some margin. Yes they sold Lewis-Potter a couple of years ago, but that money was spent the season before on Sinik, Tufan, Sayyadmaneh, and loan fees for Darlow etc https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hull-city/transfers/verein/3008/plus/?saison_id=2022&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= Edit - and when I see what Rosenior had at his disposal in terms of money spent written down like that, it does look more like a failure and seems to justify his sacking to some extent
  4. That is the exact amount that Darragh McAnthony said they negotiated with us "Still we might get a decent sell-on fee if he gets a move to the Premier League" https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/why-peterborough-united-missed-out-on-a-sammie-szmodics-windfall-and-the-need-to-finish-in-the-top-four-in-league-one-4597734
  5. Tyler Maglore was also a regular for Motherwell in the SPL when we sent him on loan there. I am not saying that Gent will not be able to step up and be considered for a squad role, but the SPL is not on a par with the Championship. That said, since Gent has now played in men's football, he must be elbowing his way in front of Batty in the squad hierarchy.
  6. I would imagine he may have more lucrative offers (Rangers or Celtic would be my guess) and his wages are probably out of reach, but Scott McKenna is out of contract at Forest this summer, left footed CB, Championship promotion on his CV, and obviously not quite Premier League standard (been on loan at Copenhagen this season while his contract runs down), decent age at 27
  7. Apparently Liverpool want him as back up to Allison because Kelleher wants to leave. God knows what they have been watching all season if that is true, maybe we should send them a video of Wahlstedt?
  8. Probably he gets a financial payout from the club and/or he will have a low release clause become active
  9. Personally think £25M is very high for Whittaker, can see it being more like £10M. But I do also think that Rovers sold Wharton on the cheap, and had we waited until the summer to make a sale then 1 - Rovers would not be in the position they are in 2 - Rovers would have got at least as much as Bristol City got from Bournemouth for Scott (£25M+)
  10. Lazio had a bid for him turned down of over £7M in January. In no way are Rovers fishing in that pond Edit - https://trigger-the-press.com/morgan-whittaker-leicester-palace-sporting/ apparently looking for £25M with Premier League teams and Sporting Lisbon now interested
  11. If you mean why is it a 12:30 kick off, it is so that sky can put on numerous final day games on live tv without worrying about the 3pm tv blackout https://www.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky/competitions/championship
  12. No Tyjon or Finneran, so they may be with the first team tomorrow (although the U18s are also playing tomorrow afternoon)
  13. Gilsenan is injured, has been for the past couple of weeks
  14. Just turned 18 today and made mainly sub appearances for his club in Ireland, looks like a signing for the U21s https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aodhan-doherty/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/1077242/plus/0?saison=2023&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=
  15. Well, in fairness to yourself, he hasn't played a single minute in the Championship, so nobody can say you were definitely wrong 😉
  16. Nathan Dlamini, winger, and fairly regular for U18s this season, was brought in from Villa last season Edit - Just seen I was beaten to it
  17. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/aug/10/bournemouth-alex-scott-bristol-city-sign-25m
  18. Would imagine it will be close to double that
  19. He has only featured for Oldham 3 times since signing, and not at all for the past month. Don't know if its fitness/injury related or that his loan has not worked out https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ethan-walker/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/640893/plus/0?saison=2023&verein=1078&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= Bloxham's loan at Harrogate hasn't gone much better https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tom-bloxham/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/907216/wettbewerb/GB4/saison/2023
  20. Both Wharton's were part of the academy well before Mowbray became manager in 2017 https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/club/everything-you-need-to-know-about-adam-wharton-crystal-palace-player/ Methinks the Guardian has got Scott mixed up with Adam as Mowbray had much more to do with bringing Scott through to the first team (and sending him out on several loans)
  21. Fair comment, I have edited my original post
  22. Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere Danny Murphy: Former Liverpool and England midfielder became addicted to cocaine after retirement I do wonder if maybe his addiction started whilst he was still playing, given how bad he was when he was with Rovers
  23. Leeds have a very strong first 11 (probably the best starting 11 in the division if everyone is fit) and a few players beyond that, Southampton's squad is stronger (in my opinion) though. Will give you that Leicester's squad runs them close
  24. They do probably have the best squad in the division. Personally I think that if someone else had been their manager this season rather than Martin, they would be ahead of Leicester in top spot
