  1. JDT got to bring in hiss own assistant and fitness coach (who you would imagine will leave with JDT), so you would imagine whoever the new man is will have the same leeway Some managers have a huge entourage though, including additional physios, data analysts etc (I imagine most who are happy to be a head coach don't have quite the same amount of guys to bring along with them)
  2. https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/football/john-eustace-bristol-city-birmingham-city-nigel-pearson-4390690 Story about it there, info provided by the Birmingham version of Jackson And another here https://theathletic.com/3708514/2022/10/20/birmingham-city-john-eustace/
  3. More likely that Jackson doesn't know which, so is putting both options and hedging his bets
  4. Really? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuart_McCall Was a decent player. Not much of a manager though
  5. Fixed it for you
  6. Personally can see us appointing someone until the end of the season, and then going back to the list/plan in the summer

  8. Sounds like a case of employing 2 people for 1 role, and at least one of them is doing nothing whilst the other is messing things up
  9. According to this, he is https://www.rovers.co.uk/club/staff/ Mike Cheston - Finance Director Ashfaq Hasan - Head of Finance * Not sure it is up to date
  10. Played the first half, set up the 2nd goal Match Report - https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/february/06/report--sheffield-united-under-21s-2-3-rovers-under-21s/
  11. Can I just state for the record that I am not Maidstone Rover lol
  12. For the sanity of the fans, I agree. However, both clubs would have been well aware the second it happened so it would not have impacted Rovers in the slightest (Rovers just had no intention of spending the money based on the directive from above)
  13. For the record, I have no clue if what Tommy is saying is true, I am just saying that it could be true, because digital faxes are a thing

  16. https://www.premierleague.com/news/597684#:~:text=The fax machine has been, and scanned documents via email. I'm assuming the EFL will operate the same as the Prem in this regard
  17. Chrisene started as LWB against Huddersfield. He was replaced by Sigurdsson for the final 30 mins with the game at 1-1 (presumably in an attempt to be more attacking and get a winner) Sigurdsson and Dolan did play as wing backs vs Wrexham if you are maybe getting the games confused? But I don't think anyone would say that the tactics were wrong in the Wrexham game
  18. I wonder if the Rovers twitter account will have the balls to tweet a happy birthday message to Duncan McGuire today? They do seem to be tone deaf sometimes, so I wouldn't bet against it
  19. He would still have to be persuaded to sign a scholarship for us to get much of anything, and then a pro contract when he turns 17 (in just over a years time). Plenty of time for the decisions of our owners to inspire him to try his hand elsewhere long before Rovers could get any sot of decent fee for him
  20. Italy or Spain https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/february/02/watch-rovers-against-rangers-live-/
  21. Absolutely this, Anyone who thinks that we have a squad of players who are each on less than 10K a week is very much mistaken
  22. I do wonder if both McFadzean and Fleck are seen as players who we can bring on in the last 20 mins or so to help us to see out games, rather than starters who we will be relying on to play 90 mins each week
  23. Even if true, with a director of football model, a change in head coach would not change the general playing style of the team or the transfer strategy to any great extent. Whilst the formation may change, They will still look for defenders (and goalkeepers) who can play it out from the back, pressing forwards, versatile players who can play multiple positions etc. Whether we like it or not, that is now Rovers playing identity, regardless of who the manager head coach is
  24. He does. So does Gally, but Dolan will be on a much more manageable wage so it is more likely Dolans extension will be triggered than Gallys
