  1. has he put armstrong alongside brereton, criminally unfair if he`s stranded the lad up front on his own
  2. tbh id`e rather sign hungry, young players than give contracts to the likes of johnson and downing, who are only after one last pay day
  3. needs to go out on loan,be ironic if he plays upfront and performs really well
  4. rovers supposedly interested in gillingham left back connor ogilvie, the right place to reinforce imo,i hope tony isn`t tracking the interest in big dundee utd striker lawrence shankland,3 or 4 clubs quite keen, you know what happens when tony gets the sniff of a striker?
  5. i agree,we don`t play with any width thus meaning we have to go sideways or backwards all the time, might as well sit deep and launch it long into space, armstrong would be perfect for this scenario, just teach him the offside rule first, bang it over the top and use his pace to unsettle the defence
  6. bizarrely i think we`ll get something out of this one, forest are also a weedy side and like to pass it sideways, they are much like ourselves style wise,im`e predicting a 1-1 draw
  7. this is the time to release the beast, step forward ben brereton,he`ll be like a rampaging water buffalo dribbling through the forest defence like tom finney on acid, mark my words, this is the beginning of his rovers stardom
  8. buckley is`nt ready for this level and probably never will be,to be that small and make it at this level you`ve got to be special, only player i can think off who was that slight was craig bellamy,he was a fantastic player though
  9. as useless and cretinous that coyle was,he did play an expansive style, sam was`nt f****g about on the wing and coming deep, the fact he hardly played for two seasons after that has probably not helped either
  10. i`ve noticed with gallagher,he can`t hold a ball up to save his life and for his size,he aint half a soft touch,he reminds me of tiny taylor, all the attributes but none of the aggresion needed, souness could never get the best out of taylor,im`e beginning to think the same with gallagher, though im`e not sure with this coaching set up,they would probably **** up lionel messi if he played for us
  11. i admire your optimisim but the stark reality is we are not very good,we don`t score many goals and we can`t defend either, hard to see us being anywhere but the bottom half come may
  12. i think tony has run out of ideas tbh, realises that he has and he`ll be off at the end of the season,if he negotiates a decent pay off,he does`nt seem to have the enthusiasm on the touchline so you can imagine what it`s like behind the scenes,a decent fellow who`s just reached the end of the at rovers
  13. lol,i forgot about that one, might be a case of "tony has`nt got a clue who`s coming this january"
  14. goalkeeper, dominant centre back and left back and right back are what we desperately need, basically a whole new back four
  15. i find it a bit distressing that the way to gain a victory over us is to launch long balls over the top and then press us back ,we must be the weediest side in the whole football league, completely bullied today as we have been numerous times in the past, like iv`e stated before,we have far to many contented players, just turning up for their wages, look at the difference in effort and desire today,i was embarrased to be a rovers fan,can you imagine the likes of faz, keeley, todd, nelson, hendry, samba, batty, sherwood, flitcroft etc being pushed around like that
  16. rather more appropiate would be -we`ve a star man not playing on the right his name is harry chapman and mowbray thinks he`s shite
  17. i agree about chapman, however,i think tony would rather walk to hudderfield than pick him,he just does`nt like him
  18. tony has come up with so many different formations i think he`ll go completely rogue tommorow and play 3 up front, gallagher, brereton and armstrong, the holy trinity
  19. despite our decent recent form the club needs a good clearout,id`e release 7 or 8 of them, pay them off or listen to offers, samuel, gladwin, smallwood, hart, platt, grayson etc, they are never going to get in the side, clear the decks and get some fresh players in
  20. if he`s half as effective as scott then i`ll have no complaints just hope he avoids the mowbray curse of not taking it seriously enough,we should have a bloody fantastic u23 side with all the lack of seriousness in it!!!!
  21. it`s a big if,i would`nt trust mowbray to bring in the right players to push us on,he is`nt positive enough and his team selection makes me want to strangle him,i agree though in general,if we could manage to get in the play offs,we all know they are a lottery, anything could happen
  22. this is what you get with journeymen players, who are no doubt satisified with their effort, like iv`e stated before,we have to many of them, the likes of bennett, williams, bell and evans would be binned within a month under a fresh manager with ambition
  23. going to this one rather than forest away, new years day games are usually terrible due to teams being knackered from their christmas games, rather optimistically i`ll think we`ll pull off another bristol city type performance and win cosily
