  1. ?at the pipe smoking dougan, would love to see anyone of todays squad puffing away on a team photo, though tugay was partial to a packet of silk cut was`nt he!!!!!
  2. that fair enough, just tell him face to face, instead of him finding out in the newspaper, was a shabby way to treat him imo
  3. was friedal not m.o.m,he was like was like a human wall that day?
  4. disgracefully treated by hughes and the welsh lot, did`nt like hughes as a player and when he treated TP the way he did he lost the small amount of liking i had for him as a manager, though begrudgingly i`ll admit he did a good job for us,was a nasty way to treat a club legend and all round decent fellow though
  5. we are banged up injury wise,if we can get a point out of this very difficult trip then it will be great
  6. i stand corrected,did`nt know that,inspired move though
  7. yes, signed by don mackay,it was kenny who saw his best position was in midfield though, sadly he got loads absolute dogs abuse in his early full back days,im`e no shrinking violet but some of the stuff was well over the top
  8. what cracking full back chris price was, good defender and was always willing to get forward
  9. lol, stay away from the blackboard and chalk as well
  10. mowbray considers himself a tactician,in reality he confuses all his players and nobody knows what their job is
  11. i can only assume mowbray is trying to confuse millwall into an error
  12. ffs if it`s not working put the big man gallagher up front and be direct,**** the principles it`s a game of football we really need to win
  13. i`ve always had the feeling he only signed for one last contract,he`s never been fit in the whole time he`s been here, personally id`e give the young lad davenport a run and see how he goes
  14. to be brutally frank, bell would have trouble marking my mother
  15. we`ve got to be patient, don`t go mental and and all out for it,we`ll get picked off,as in the reading game
  16. thinking about Gally and Armstrong up front that could be the new King Gestede type combo. Still a few midfield issues but it would allow us to defend from the front and give us a few outlets. Maybe worth a shot? mowbray has always been reluctant to play with two strikers, though i agree it would work, armstrong or dack playing just behind a striker looking for space could possibly be lethal
  17. just stick to two banks of four sitting a bit deeper and hit em on the counter with armstrongs pace,i also worry about the 4-3-3,quality sides will exploit the space between the midfield and defence, reading tore us a new one doing exactly that,i don`t think you can play 4-3-3 against everyone
  18. grimsby is a **** of a place to get to and despite the 3 goal lead we got outplayed the whole second half, remember stealing a football from a back garden and having a good old kickabout on the beach during which one of the mates tripped and fell in a load of dog muck?,a good day out with great away support,it felt at the time we were going to go unbeaten for the rest of the season, little did we know the nightmare was about to begin?
  19. time moves on i know but i would still prefer to stand in the old blackburn end?,though the toilets at the side should have been knocked down!
  20. i hope tony does`nt see this as an excuse to squeeze ayala in at the expense of wharton, with the head injury as an excuse, wharton been an absolute rock in the last four games
  21. the old meadow lane was a difficult place to play, one of those horrible old school grounds where the home side were always strong, thankfully they are rare these days, bit like burnden park, griffin park and the old upton park
  22. pretty sure jose will have no idea where marine is?
  23. jurgen klopp erupts in fury at the unfairness of the draw, claiming the fa don`t care about him and the fact they have to play another game of football away from home is a scandalous injustice
