  1. ? I'm really not I was kidding. You may be over-thinking the bit in bold? Good luck to them. It's a proper Romeo & Juliet story - with added ITV contract! I'm sure they would have done it for free?
  2. FFS! You meant media whores making loads of money.
  3. Good little video, also shows his assist against SWFC. Quality pass.
  4. Because he's not flashy people don't see his undoubted ability. Like you I think he's quality. Buckley is the same IMO, he's just not as physically strong. JRC is fair size.
  5. We'll see but on the evidence so far we seem to have similar problems. Mowbray even admits to them in the LT today/yesterday but claims they've been working in training on breaking teams down. He said similar last season. We are playing a different style ( a far better one) but as Mogga himself admitted, unless teams play out from the back the high-pressing doesn't really work. We need a plan B for when teams sit deep and don't come out. Normally set-pieces or getting on the end of crosses with headers etc are what breaks down deep defences but we aren't effective with either. Douglas looks like he can cross a ball but there's rarely anyone in the box to get on the end of it. Hopefully Elliot can make the difference.
  6. I was talking about the Cardiff and Forest games this season. And similar games last season.
  7. Not what the LT article says this morning. Mogga still hopeful Kaminski will be fit. Unless you've heard more recent news? Mogga:- “It’s a very minor injury, if it is an injury. “We’ll have to decide whether we want to take the chance with him or whether it’s a chance for Aynsley to play between the sticks. “I know what my preference would be and that’s to keep Thomas going. He’s had four clean sheets in seven games so we’ll see after training"
  8. Mowbray said his best position is the one BB plays in now.
  9. I don't think Reading are going to be walkovers like Cov, Derby and Wycombe. They've obviously got something about them and defend well. We don't really attack well at home (League 2 Wycombe aside). I expect a cagey game where they sit deep and we have to force the issue/be creative. We're shit in those types of games sadly.
  10. They've conceded 1 goal all season and we've failed to score in 2 of our 3 home games. 1-1
  11. http://sportwitness.co.uk/blackburn-made-contact-free-agents-camp-contract-not-yet-agreed/ More Keepers are coming...possibly. We'll have more Keepers than Bees.
  12. I always remember Shearer speaking fondly of him.
  13. Have you got a link to that article?
  14. What's the lowdown then Joe? Are they as expected going to sit deep and defend and rely on their quality forwards to get them something?
  15. Not 'tuts and sighs'? Oh the humanity!
  16. Players up and down the country get 'abused'' Rovers fans are no different. BB was a target because he cost a lot of money and has been absolute bobbins fir 2 years. Not his fault he cost a lot of money but logic doesn't often come in to it at a football match when passions are running high. And TBF, I never heard any 'abuse' hurled at him at the ground. The change in BB has been incredible. I thought he would be perma-shite in a Rovers shirt and would slink off to possibly a half-decent career elsewhere. I was very wrong about him. The change in him has been remarkable, especially this season. Her needs to score more goals though if he wants to play in the Prem, which his all-round game now suggests he is capable of.
  17. A Rotherham fan's view of Reading from the weekend:- Watched online as a Rotherham fan. Reading stood off in the first half so we probably had more of the ball than in any other game we played at this level but they gambled that we wouldn’t be able to break them down and aside from a couple of chances they were right. Then three mistakes in one move from us and they’re 1-0 up and can press us more in the second half and our passing inevitably went downhill. They’re a canny solid strong team with skilful wingers. But I’ve not seen any team yet that’s really going to take the league by the scruff of its neck.
  18. Away win. BTW, what's your favourite biscuit? Love that book on Robin Friday.
  19. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-rankin-costello-nyambe-19162715 JRC - that pass was straight out of the Alexander-Arnold playbook. It's a feature of Liverpool's play when he pings it over the defence to the on-running Mane or Salah. Exact replica from JRC to BB yesterday for the first goal.
  20. I'll take being Brentford as it will get us in the PO's based on last season.
  21. Touché. I'm happy if you're happy.
  22. Someone/Team who beats the easy opponents but struggles against the good ones. It's a cricketing term for batsmen who scored runs on a flat track but struggled on livelier pitches. (I think)
