  1. I can't hear you, sweetcheeks ?
  2. Personally I read it like he was having a dig at whoever makes the financial decisions. "We have to look after and protect our assets at our football club in my opinion. Those are conversations that we’re going to have to have at some stage. You can’t in my opinion just let the assets run down and potentially just walk away.”
  3. Excellent, let's look forward to a tit-for-tat feeding frenzy where everyone makes baseless accusations. At least the Venky comments aimed at you had some reasoning behind them (as you admit). What's your evidence for calling @Sparks Rover a PNE fan??‍♀️ Let's not be childish.? With respect, that's hardly evidence. ?You just might not be a good judge of a player?‍♀️ I'm glad you've corrected you earlier point that being a L1 player means you can't cut it in the league above. Obviously it depends on the player. Mowbray and a few other managers appear to think Whiteman can.? I don't know much about him but I know he's nothing like Rothwell or Buckley. He's a big commanding presence who would probably be Travis's direct replacement. In time i'd expect him to play where Holtby plays now with Travis and A N Other flanking him right and left. But who knows?‍♀️ If he improves the team and increases in value I'd disagree. Apologies for the overuse of emoji's. I personally find them a bit patronising (especially when you use them)???
  4. That has nothing to do with the post you quoted.
  5. Rovers form in the form of haiku:- If Rovers score 4 Derby don't score any more we may get a draw.
  6. Mani was focussing on the merits of a League 1 player moving up to the Championship, he never mentioned price. Again, your taking things out of context.
  7. For someone who get so offended when anyone tries to question your info it's strange you think those rules don't apply to someone else. And quote the whole thing in context next time. I said his opinion was immaterial to the fact Whiteman is so highly rated elsewhere. i.e. @Sparks Rover is not the only person in the world who thinks Whiteman is quality. Understand?
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18750122.rovers-contract-latest-mowbray-face-budget-balancing/ "Of last weekend’s starting line-up, Rankin-Costello, Derrick Williams, Amari’i Bell, Bradley Johnson, Lewis Holtby and Joe Rothwell are all out of contract next summer, while long-serving duo Elliott Bennett and Corry Evans also see their deals expire" Nyambe is too I'm guessing. Rothwell, JRC, Nyambe, Holtby (if he stays fit) to get new deals. JRC and Nyambe are priorities.
  9. Questioning somebody's credentials as a Rovers fan is a low blow. I don't know much about Whiteman but I do know he's highly rated from everything I've read. Whether @Sparks Rover is his mate or not is immaterial. I saw your post that tried to say as he's from league 1 he won't be much cop as the jump in quality to the Champ is too much. Bradley Dack shoots that theory down in flames.?
  10. Sharpe reported both Garner and an unnamed LB both fell through.
  11. It's a nightmare. No idea how clubs will survive.
  12. Yes, i couldn't resist. You can call me an arse, I deserve it!
  13. You only get the discount off next season's ST not this season as far as I'm aware? . So it's either spend £399 on an ST and hope you get in some games (and get a discount next season) or buy all the streamed games for £300.
  14. You can't get a ST for £230 as far as I'm aware? The only good thing about buying a ST this year and watching them all on stream cos the grounds aren't open is that you'll get 23 x £7 off next years ST.
  15. So we get 30 games if my maths are correct (23 home games + 7 away games) with a ST. If we don't get in the ground all season that's £300 worth of streaming passes at £10 a shot.
  16. Johnson mentioned Sunak was working on measures to support Sports Clubs i.e. football clubs. Think he also said no crowds at grounds until further notice. Then he mentioned 6 months of the new rules. That all points to no crowds for the foreseeable and a Govt bail-out, but who knows?
  17. Not really. It reflects a gap between what Mowbray was expecting and what he's now been given. Agreed Couldn't disagree more. Promotion is vital to our long term future with or without Venky's...especially now with little chance of getting fans back anytime soon. It is again going to be a tight league where anyone of 15 clubs could get in the play-offs. A new signing or two will give us a better chance.
  18. We'll be alright at Rovers then.
  19. Mowbray said he wanted 3 or 4 seasoned Pro's less than a week ago. He obviously got told to jog on at the meeting on Thursday with Waggott and I presume Suhail. He sounded a bit salty in the interview Saturday. Hopefully either King and/or Raya gets sold and he gets given the money AND they have someone already lined up so the deal can be done quickly. Still a few weeks left for things to change. .
  20. We've never experienced Covid in winter before so who knows what will happen. I'd imagine clubs are planning to have empty grounds until this time next year, and trying to plan how they can survive. We aren't even on our 2nd wave yet as we've never got rid of it. China are on their 5th! Until there's a vaccine that reduces the risk of serious illness it will just keep coming back. Totally unprecedented and utterly tragic for a lot of people. Hopefully the vaccine comes soon.
  21. I think the info was just wrong. Very little leaks out of Ewood these days regarding transfers.
  22. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18734840.this-close---mowbray-feels-rovers-wont-far-away-year/ "While we've had amazing support, I feel we're almost on the cusp of having a pretty good team in this league this year but yet here we are, where in previous years we've been able to buy a £5m centre forward and a £6m striker, we are this close, yet this year because of Covid it's not there for us and I'm not sure we're right bang in the middle of it" You shouldn't have wasted the money you did get, Tony.
