  1. Whether he an defend is secondary - Tony sees Branthwaite as the new Ronald Koeman, and Rovers the new Barca.
  2. I got off the step ladder recently and stood in the tub of paint I was using.
  3. Brennan is a left winger as far as I'm aware? AA is a striker who was played out wide as a stop gap. I thought you were joking when you said Brennan had been recalled to replace AA. Clearly not.
  4. You thought Brennan being recalled meant we were selling AA?
  5. No Covid. Just a bit of man flu. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18855401.mowbray-provides-evans-update-explains-holtby-absence/
  6. Did Holtby not have Covid? Maybe he's not physically 100% yet? Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles and star winger Allan Saint-Maximin suffering from long Covid | Daily Mail Online
  7. I wonder how many times you can vote in Chaddy's poll?
  8. Branthwaite might be the new Baresi in time but are we not desperate for a Kevin Moran-type back there - an experienced old head to improve our Keystone Cops backline?
  9. That still doesn't mean he could have afforded Whiteman. Finances ruled out Rovers' move for League One midfielder | Lancashire Telegraph
  10. PNE have sold a few players for good money. Mowbray hasn't had to do that. He's had a far bigger budget than Neil. Venky's are putting money into the club and taking the hit on their own balance sheet as far as I'm aware?* *I can't even be arsed to say this is not a defence of Venky's but I will anyway before anyone gets excited.
  11. Silly post. Mowbray said he rated him and I think tried to buy him last summer, but couldn't afford him then and can't now. Lots of sticks to beat Mowbray with but I'm not sure this is one of them.
  12. A stage befitting his talents. Little does he know that Neil is coming here next week.
  13. Rovers paying a fraction of Trybull's Norwich City salary | Lancashire Telegraph It was the first line that gave me a different impression.
  14. Yes, his writing is eccentric to say the least!
  15. Definitely. Maybe a brief mention of the Donny away game!
  16. I don't mind Sharpe, at least he wrote that article the other day essentially slagging off Mowbray's side. He has to maintain club relationships for his job but I think he gets the dissatisfaction and can see the failings.
  17. I'm guessing Rovers tried to sign Pickering before the clause in Douglas's contract expired (with the intention of sending Douglas packing) but couldn't get the Pickering deal done. Sharpe has then been informed of the dealings after the event and written the story.
