Realistically the blades have more money and a better chance at a push for promotion. The one advantage we have is JDT. I'd be gutted if he went to another team in the championship. If he goes to a bigger club then fair enough.

From the centre circle to opposition box he looked like the best player in the world. Beyond that where it counted very rarely did he deliver. The same from his crosses and free kicks. We played most of the season with three tall, towering centre backs. We should of had far more goals from set pieces. I'm not laying all the blame on him but that should've been any easy way to get more assists. He ran like a winger but through the middle of the pitch, which obviously got the fans and myself excited. Good luck to him at Bournemouth.

People got excited because of how rothwell carried the ball. He got us further up the pitch, without ever really doing anything. The problem was his final ball or the fact he'd get tackled as soon as he got even near to threatening. If he struggled to get goals/assists in the championship in a decent enough team. He will really struggle in the premiership, playing in arguably the worst team.

He signed a new deal either last season or the one before that. You'd imagine he'd be on around 150k a week. 😂

It just seemed to click for him last season. I don't think he was ever a million miles away from the player he became. It was his touch or finish that was the most frustrating because he was getting in decent positions. If he'd of got ten goals I'd of been impressed, using the confidence he'd gained being away with Chile. It makes the new deal for Gallagher make sense. If he gets ten goals say by new year, clubs would be looking at him. Look at Andy fucking Carroll. He got three or four goals at reading and suddenly he was being linked with a return to the premiership 😂.He just needs it to click aswell as in that final ball, first touch or knowing where to put the ball for it to go in.

Yeah Italian football overall, bar the top six clubs maybe is on its arse. Surely he could get a better move somewhere either in England or Spain. Give them a chance in pre season, like we did with Dolan a couple of years ago. See where they're at and go from there. It'd be nice to have academy players in the first team but not just for the sake of it.

Yeah especially since the five sub rule is coming back next season. No harm in having a few of the academy lads on the bench for a some game time.

Yeah the brerton deal was a loan with obligation to buy as well. Seven million does sound like a lot, considering the amount of football and more importantly senior goals he'd got at forest.

Fairer than him walking next summer for free. Like arguably three of our best players this summer. Or paying seven million, him being as bad as the season before last and going for nothing or next to nothing haha. Just be glad he some how managed to turn it round at the begining and for moments towards the end of the season.

I agree but after the start he had and what we could do if we got to reinvest that money. It's not too bad. Ideally we'd try for a player plus cash deal if we can't get the amount we want.

From what I've read the Bordeaux loan was a mandatory fee at the end. So he's a Bordeaux player. They are financially fucked and are now in the third tier of French football.

I think it's like 20% sell on of any profit. I'm trying to remember back to when we signed him. Meaning if we got 20 that's 13 profit, so they would get 2.6 if my maths is right.
