Poveda had one good game at ewood, I can't remember who against. But he scored and might have got an assist too. He was terrible before that and then obviously got injured. He'd be a good prospect if he was like 18/19 but he's a few years older and not good enough. Loads of players have managed one good game in the last season or so. Off the top of my head Paul downing when he got that assist, magloire mid week against I want to say wigan and even Clarkson when he played that ball through with the outside of his boot. Avoid.

The squad like us would've known mowbray was on his way out, even before it was half confirmed. Same with the new manager coming in they would've known ahead of the fans. If it was such hell under mowbray. A new manager coming in would've been a dream for the three who have left. Especially nyambe who everyone seems convinced for some reason was treated poor by mowbray. To a lesser extent rothwell too who until last season it seemed mowbray wasn't the biggest fan of.

If nyambe signs for wigan it just shows how much of a mess it is behind the scenes. To let an academy graduate, who is steady enough without being spectacular. With potential to get better still. Walk for free to not only a smaller team who have just been promoted. But half a rival. Wow. Maybe we'd all be laughing if we'd actually got a half decent replacement in or lined up. We could at least rationalise it, by saying the money was used elsewhere so we were right to let him leave. He's been chinned and has gone to shitty wigan.

As had already been said signing hourihane would've gone completely against the model they apparently want to set up. Worryingly missing out on transfers is becoming all to regular. Surely they had an idea of what Davies wages were, before they enquired or whatever they did or didn't do. Again though if we're to believe they want to sign young players with potential value to then sell on. Davies wouldn't fit this ideology either.

Depends how we want to set up really. If we want to press from the back and play further up the pitch. Then they have to be able to play at least a bit and be able to run. That was the problem with the three at the back in last season. They were all fairly immobile, so had to sit deep to defend and head it away rather than play out or chase attackers. Not that thats a bad thing or there's anything wrong with that but it's all about how the new manager wants to play.

It was early and that's why should was in capitals. I meant should get out rather than walk if I'm being honest. I understand it's a lot tougher than when we went down. Even only a few years on. Bar wigan and Shrewsbury randomly having a decent season, the standard was nowhere near as good as what it is now.
