My problem is that we've played well especially the last two games and not won. So by that logic we're due a bad result and they are due a performance 😂. I wish we'd of played them last Saturday instead of Coventry their form going into that game. If we'd of hung on those last two games. And we were sitting comfortably on 69 points with less pressure on the league. Tonight would be seen as a free hit. We're expected to get beat. Now all the pressure is on us because not only do we desperately need to beat them to stop them winning the title at ewood. Now we need a win to keep our play off chances alive. Performance of the season so far needed tonight. We need to make it a scrap and not give them time to pass it around us like at turf moor. We need to battle from the first whistle and get the fans on side.

Oh definitely it's not a bad thing at all it's just I think most fans want him to be as passionate and bothered as them. And the truth is he is but in a professional capacity which is totally different to us fans .

Yeah jdt overall I've been happy with for the most part. Look at some of the players we've lost in the last couple of seasons. Off the top of my head. Armstrong, Johnson, holtby, downing, nyambe, lenihan, rothwell, bell, Evans, Bennett, williams, graham and mulgrew. Not saying they were all brilliant but they were starters and squad players. Vastly more experienced than what we currently have. We hopefully have at least three really good prospects coming through. In Wharton, Phillips and Leonard. It's an exciting time to be a fan of this club with just those three breaking into the first team. The fact we're anywhere near top six with our squad is incredible. It doesn't mean that we should be like oh well we wer never expected to get in the play offs. For the last two years we've been there or there abouts. We're as good as Millwall or Luton. The manager should be desperate to make top six and then it's the lottery of the play offs. I think he's just comes across as calm whatever the result. Which can be frustrating for us as fans. But must be reassuring for such a young inexperienced squad. I'll wait until the season of finished before judging him as a manager but there has been far more good than bad this season.

All keepers can be rash especially in situations such as last night. I'm saying play your best player and give yourself the best chance. Case and point haaland missing a penalty last night. But still you put your best player forward to give yourself the best chance.

Positives from tonight back upto sixth and a good result without playing particularly well. Wharton absolute class and man of the match hopefully he gets a good run in the side between now and the end of the season. Diaz HAS to be dropped after tonight surely? Other results went our way and there will be loads more shock results, in this crazy league. And most importantly it is still in our own hands. Negatives firstly us being caught offside so many times, especially in the first half an hour or so. Diaz needs benching if not for his own good. He looks lost at times and you have little szmodics next to him charging everywhere and winning everything. If you could combine his talent with Sammies graft you'd have a hell of a player. Conceding like that right at the end was sickening. Especially as we've held leads so well this season for the most part. The same can't be said under mowbray where you were just waiting for the other team to score and then probably go on and lose the game . Ref had a good game until towards the end and I thought let the game play out. The handball was ridiculous but again we invited the pressure by not getting out and them putting in corner after corner. For me pears needs to claim one of those and fall down on the ball, hoof it and the whistle goes. I know a certain Belgian international sat on the bench would've done.

As said previous id revert back to a three man midfield. Defend deep with hyam hounding gyorkeres all game. We need to nullify him and keep him out of the game as much as possible. Double up on him if needed with Garret/Travis. Have Wharton turning and spraying the ball out wide. Use pace up top ie Thomas/Dolan and szmodics. Just keep firing that ball in behind over and over. Go direct from the start get the crowd on side. Nice early goal to quieten the away fans. Big huge massive season defining game tonight.

If we win tomorrow and at the weekend it takes the pressure off next Tuesday. Not for fans but as in league position. Both of the next two games are far more winnable. So let's win them, then the burnley game is more of a free hit. It can't be as bad as the reverse fixture (🤞🤞🤞).

Don't get why when we played so well against a resurgent Huddersfield (I know we only took a point). He decides to switch formation the following game. We looked as threatening and dominating possession wise because apparently how he wants us to play. As we have all season. Now is the time to ring the changes stop just fucking drifting through games and have a go. Stop playing players out of some kind of loyalty or stubbornness. Absolutely start kaminski. Pears has been decent and had a good run. But play out best keeper. Arguably the best keeper in the league on his day. Get Wharton into that midfield alongside Garret and Travis for me. Have Travis go box to box. I know I'm a few days late after the Hull game but we need to see some urgency before it becomes just another close season. Start Leonard, Thomas and szmodics. Drop gally and Diaz. Use all five subs if needed and with time to do something to actually affect the game. Or we'll get absolutely battered by both Coventry and Preston. Leading into a potential humiliation against the dingles. And breath

Yeah we should be aiming to win all of our home games. The two exceptions being Norwich and Burnley. Norwich and depending on how the table looks just not being beaten might be enough. And Burnley are burnley I'd love a win but just couldn't stand to see a repeat of November. Reading are shite with a shite manager. But have a couple of decent players who could hurt us if they turn up. Make a couple of changes to freshen things up. 2-0 rovers.

I think it's brilliant that the first teamers and u21s are interchangeable. Especially with what seems to be such a talented crop coming through. It keeps first teamers match fit and shows a clear pathway to the first team for the youth side.

If we really want to finish in the top six we should be going for a win here. But absolutely not getting beat. If we can keep up our home form and take points away from home we will be there abouts. Especially if they're missing as many players as last weekend.

Yeah I like him he's different to what we have and can put the ball in the back of the net. I can't be doing with the pointless flicks that never find anyone or pirouettes on the halfway line though. We saw all sides of his game last night. Good and bad. But he scored and nearly had another goal earlier on. No idea how wasn't man of the match.

We wouldn't say sack a striker if he missed a penalty or a goalkeeper for making a howler. This however is as bad a situation as can happen to a football club transfer wise. I don't understand how we have all these people. Chief exec, director of football and all of their staff and can't get a deal done. Then you have some semi pro club, where Dorris the tea lady writes up the contract and gets it done. It's not like we were inundated with all sorts of comings and goings. And one hasnt gone through out of sheer lack of time. If we were interested and even if we ended up being third choice after west Brom and Sheffield united. How much effort would it of too to have all of this written and up ready just incase he became available. None at all surely so I don't buy lack of time when the documents could've been drawn up in theory days or weeks before. I don't want to see anyone lose their job but if they cant do it and it's detrimental to our club they should.

You've got to imagine they're going to have most of the ball and in our half. We need pace out wide to try and break out any opportunity we get. And a striker on the last defenders toes all go. No coming deep to get the ball or trying too much. Just be there ready the few chances we get to play it forward. We're due a performance so I think we'll take a point and say thank you very much. Properly had enough of this season and this club. I'd rather us go bust and start from the bottom then keep being ran like a circus. We get fleeced at every opportunity, no reward or incentive to keep fans going back. Just a price increase every season, and as many extra charges they can come up with to take more money out of their fan base. This club 1875 knowing people would sign up scared they wouldn't get a ticket for turf moor. The fact you've to pay an extra 60 pounds just to be able to drink in a proper bar at half time. Worse than any of that is total lack of ambition or want to progress. The stadium was closed for the best part of 18 months or whatever it was and it was left to rot. The stands and infrastructure of the stadium are filthy and outdated. Nothing about this club makes you excited or gives any reason for optimism. The only way to hurt this regime and these owners is financially. Don't turn up for the derby on Monday, don't renew your season ticket and don't contribute anything towards this shell of a football club.

He's been stuck at charnock Richard since deadline day.

There's no reason why if it goes through he can't play a part on Monday. Even if off the bench. He'll be match fit and eager to get some game time. I just hope we find out one way or the other by Monday 😂

Let's be honest it's a domino affect. If west Brom pursued O'Brien he'd be there, then Sheffield united were interested. Until they decided they weren't selling Berge. We were the third choice so obviously had to wait. Just hope it got done. I do agree we needed a striker too. And reading jdts comments last night it sounds like he agrees. Along the lines of we played well but struggled putting the ball in the net.

Can anyone remember last January deadline day who were we linked too? I remember dembele instead went to Bournemouth. Who were the other names, who we let's be honest had no chance of getting.

Yeah cook will be on say 25k a week after a promotion rise this season. The only way we get him is if other clubs won't pay his full wages either. But stoke have just sold their best defender so...

Do we have a style? He can play the ball better than any of our current defenders which we seem to be adamant on doing for 90% of a game. So yeah, him and hyam would be a solid pairing for this league. You could even add Wharton into that, because he was brilliant last season in a back three.

Steve cook class at this level was one of the reasons behind forest's turn around last season. Not getting anywhere near that squad now and probably won't be registered after the deadline. He would be an amazing if not essential signing and surely could be done on the cheap.

Yeah I don't get that the play offs aren't the focus. Every club in this league barring maybe the teams that come up, should be aiming to sneak into the play offs if they can.
