  1. I think it’s tactical that he plays RWB, he comes infield which draws men over to our right, exploiting space for Brereton on the left, at least that’s my impression.
  2. Exactly. Brentford got 3 points off Bolton when they couldn’t fulfil their game in 2019
  3. Saw someone make a good point that it’s capacity doesn’t cover all Cov season ticket holders, so it can’t be at Walsall.
  4. Tad harsh on Gally for me. Yes he had a good chance saved but held it up well, ran himself into the ground and linked play well at times. Love watching him at the moment and I believe he’s a massive ‘confidence’ player. Definitely playing with confidence at the moment.
  5. Definitely a valid discussion point. Not as technically gifted as Dack, but then again, who is in this league? Gives 110% effort every game, Makes intelligent runs, finds space, has a goal in him. I personally really like him, offers something no other player in the squad does, that’s not saying he’s a better player to Dack, they’re different. We can appreciate both.
  6. Great win that. Travis superb, Vale put himself about well in his cameo. Up the blues
  7. Hyam Rock solid, Travis done very well out of position too, Wharton touch of magic and Gallagher looked a handful too. Dolan very frustrating feel a bit for the lad
  8. All managers have preferences on player profiles based on their style of play. Bradley Dack isn’t what he was. Get. Over. It.
  9. To be fair Nuttall had a ‘Dolan like’ start to his Rovers career, think he scored 3/4 in league one in his first 5/6 games. Think he scored a couple off the bench in the chumpy 18/19 too? Looked like a poor all round footballer but had a knack in that 6 yard box of scoring. Old fashioned striker. Shame it hasn’t worked out for him, Blackpool forked out £400,000 to snap him off of us.
  10. Oh come off it. Jack Vale is national league standard. Hirst is probably top end league 1.
  11. Hirst is so much better than Vale. That’s saying something. At least Hirst is fast and I think anyway, has shown some neat touches/control.
  12. How’s Zak Gilsenan progressing? Came with big pedigree but know he had a bad injury.
  13. Done enough today. Thought Pickering did well defensively. Missed big Dan Ayala second half today. Poor Phillips got towered over every time
  14. Bit of an overstatement in my opinion. Still sh1te and a couple of man utd 20 year old rejects doesn’t make you a different beast
  15. Rather them stay on the “wrong” sides and keep Pickering out the team (as we’re at home and will need to take the game to them) would then prefer Pickering LWB and Brittain RWB away from home.
  16. Hedges has always been a right sided player. So many examples of full backs who prefer playing on their “weaker” side ie Cancelo, lahm, Ashley young etc. Classic rovers fans lazy argument and traditionalism. Brittain was quality at LWB on Tuesday, long May it continue
  17. Kaminski Hedges Carter Hyam Wharton Brittain Travis Morton Szmodics Gally BBD
  18. This thing the manager craves. It’s called pressing and defending from the front. It’s part of modern football 👍🏼
  19. Thought Szmodics and Brittain were the standouts on Tuesday. No need to go 5 at the back against Rotherham at home. Kaminski Brittain Hyam Wharton Pickering Travis Buckley Hedges Szmodics BBD Gallagher Give Spanish Dan a rest, missed Wharton’s comfortability on the ball. Could easily have Dack and A Wharton in there for me too. Hopefully no Morton. COYB
