The top line applies to Appleton at B/pool. He's doing ok. I just think a lot of excuses are being made for the new manager. That's fine, but there comes a time when he has to take responsibility. Re the last line - surely that was the point of replacing the failing manager? I'm not expecting miracles overnight, but I also thought there would be some semblance of a plan to score against the opposition. I was just expecting better, that's all. JDT is unproven. We'll see how he goes. But after the initial excitement and euphoria (I was guilty of it too) reality is beginning to dawn. And as Jurgen Klopp said the other day when interviewed, he felt less pressure when he came to England because everyone was telling him it wasn't his team. He said it was his team the day he walked in the door. -

They aren't 'my' stats, and they aren't just relating to yesterday. And unless it's blocked by the last man I'm pretty sure it's not classed as a 'shot on target'. And I only posted them cos Glen asked the question. I was just surprised when I looked them up and saw we were bottom on all counts. Anyway, no goals in three games. I'm sure it's all going to plan🤔 -

So at what point does it become JDT's team? Not a 'smart arse' question, just curious. -

That was JDT's team. It only became Mowbray's team again when we started losing at match day 4. 🙃 -

It doesn't, it says shots on target per game. -

We haven't scored in 3 games and we've the worst attacking stats in the league. Not sure what XG tells you that gives you comfort, but we all need something to hold on to! Early days, and hopefully things change quickly for the better. -

But they don't and lots of other clubs have blocked shots. The simple facts are we are the worst team in the league when it comes to both shots and shots on target. We are also one of only 2 teams that have yet to have a shot from within the 6 yard box. JDT needs to improve and quickly. -

You can't because the 8.3 is shots per game, not shots per goal. -

Every team has blocked shots. There's also no evidence YET that JDT is a good head coach. -
Sadly @robbo_roversevery club has it's coked up Neanderthal's. It's just that Burnley has a higher proportion than anyone else.

Looks like we're still in the running for JPVH. Looks like we'll have to pay a large loan fee too. You said we didn't pay them. If you think that I can't help you. And, yes, the alarm bells are ringing. But it's on the manager as much as the players. That penny will eventually drop. If it doesn't I can't help you. -

Incorrect. Mowbray is on record as saying he turned down Prem strikers in January that he could have signed. He was the master of his own demise. -

The gaping hole doesn't exist. We only play 2CM's and Joe Rothwell couldn't cope in a 2CM's situation. And he was hardly consistent. He went on holiday at Christmas and never came back. Ayala has replaced JPVH. Hyam just about to come in to replace Lenihan. Add Carter and Phillips who weren't around last season and we have arguably more strength in depth. He's not as good as Hedges, and probably not even as good as Markanday when he gets fit. They contributed very little last season so they are more than adequate replacements for Khadra. The myth that we are somehow much weaker than last season is just that, a myth. The 5 players that have left that actually played matches and contributed last season will all have been replaced by Thursday, if they haven't already. -

Kevin G made the same point. He said we should go for Cole Stockton. What confuses me though is why anybody thinks we play with a No9. JDT has stated he likes 4 'fluid' forwards who interchange positions. We clearly don't play with a traditional No9. it's closer to the false 9 bollocks that Mowbray was rightly criticised for.
