  1. Where did you sauce this information?
  2. Fleetwood Town on Friday 21st July, kick-off 7pm at Highbury Stadium.
  3. Quite, which is hopefully brought up with him.....in the same way he chose to highlight lack of sales of end-of-season ticket bundles as a reason why reduced prices of ST's do not translate to increased sales of ST's (even though there is no correlation between the two products)
  4. Reductions in prices have seen significant increases in ST's sold at Rovers in the past. The same happened at Bolton/PNE last summer. The question Waggott is concerned with is would he get the same revenue from dropping prices and increasing ST sales? Nobody knows until he tries, including him. But he isn't willing to try, so that's that.
  5. Marketing dept are currently offering deals on advertise space on the chimney behind the Darwen End terracing.
  6. Just bought a copy on Amazon for my owd fella for Father's Day. And one for moi. £12.06 each
  7. Has SCFC been announced as another friendly?
  8. Barnsley will play host to Rovers at Oakwell on Saturday, July 22 (3pm)
  9. Good effort....not far off there with your estimate if the 'approaching 8k' figure is correct. Looks like we'll see more than last year which is encouraging.
  10. That's essentially what JDT did say repeatedly - 'Transfers are Gregg's job'. JDT was very open about the fact not signing a striker hampered the team significantly. He also repeated the age/budget 'excuses' narrative whenever he could. At the end of the season GB essentially hits back and says that narrative just doesn't wash 'look at Luton/Sunderland'. You don't have to be a master of psychology to read between the lines. They are both canny operators. It's also worth remembering GB is JDT's boss. The real question is does the above mean they have fallen out and are playing out a spat in public, or are they just airing views that have already been constructively aired and settled privately.
  11. JDT's constantly referenced age and budget last season as reasons we couldn't compete. GB's comments couldn't be more pointed. No self-reflection there: He said: “I think firstly there’s always been a club in the Championship who have got there without maybe the budget to get there. “We have to take this narrative off the table now that you have to have a top six budget to get in the top six. “I also think you need to take off the table that you need an average age of 27. “Sunderland got into the top six with a younger playing squad than we did, we had the second-youngest in the Championship. “That narrative has been completely destroyed by this year’s Championship and the way it’s turned out.
  12. I'm still not convinced all is well between GB and JDT. GB made quite pointed statements in his interview the other week about budget and age of squad no longer being legitimate excuses due to Sunderland (age) and Luton (budget) reaching the play-offs/getting promoted.
  13. Ticket prices are kept low so local people can afford to come to matches and experience live football. Steve adds: "It stops people watching on TV from their armchair and gets them watching live matches. “Football has a responsibility to make the next generation of fans.” Lucky Charlton. It's a different Steve these days.
  14. Slight change of plan. It's now opening in Leeds.
  15. I heard the Eastenders drums when I finished reading that!
  16. Clear penalty. He misjudged the flight, knew it was being headed back across goal and instinctively stuck his hand up.

  18. Just read the minutes and thought that was the reason
  19. In the July 22 minutes you said the figure sold was 7800....so we can't have sold 8244 in June 22 ????
  20. yeah, it's bollocks ...... 18% non-renewals based on a figure of 8700 is not 859, it's 1,566. To get a figure of 859 non-renewals based on a take-up of 82% would mean we only sold about 4800 ST's last season.
  21. 82% of 8,700 is 7,134. Plus 540 newbies = 7,674 is what the current number sold should be if the above is correct.
