  1. 'Better than Kane' I overheard one of the locals say after he beat 6 men and hit the post from 40 yards.
  2. Sounds like he's quite involved. Good to hear, he's had a shit time to date, deserves a bit of luck.
  3. Wonder if it is going to be 4-3-3 this season rather than 4-2-3-1
  4. That's how we played it last season so it makes sense.
  5. It must have washed over me.
  6. Batth really keen on the move to Rovers apparently, so he's trying to faucet through.
  7. You asked why they have becoming increasingly vocal. Agreed on your follow-up point, they'll do frig all unless it benefits them.
  8. Because of increasing evidence it is harming kids. They have a moral duty to speak out.
  9. Blackburn Rovers' first friendly exposed their biggest transfer dilemma - Elliott Jackson - LancsLive
  10. I think sometimes what JDT says gets lost in translation a bit. When he says Ennis 'had a lot of things from Plymouth that were not top class' I don't think he's criticising Plymouth, he's just saying Ennis arrived with issues from his Plymouth days i.e. groin strains.
  11. League goals per position last season: (I've assigned specific players to specific positions to make it easier. The rest of the positions are made up of all the players that played there) GK 0 RB 2 LB 1 CB 4 CM 4 RW 8 (Dolan and Hedges) AMC 9 (Dack and Szmodics) LW 14 (BBD) CF 8 (Gally) It's a poor return from CM, CB and CF over a full season.
  12. LT: Passed 8100 ST's (so 8101 🙂 ) Match day prices frozen for coming season - only Leeds, PNE and Sheff Weds Cat A Blackburn Rovers matchday pricing policy for 2023/24 season | Lancashire Telegraph
  13. Waggott discussing what he'd seen
  14. That he was a shoplifting scally?
  15. Joe’s here to stay! | rovers.co.uk Delighted with this, absolute storming second half of the season. Credit to GB for getting another star signed up.
  16. Can't remember who said it (a manager of a team we played towards the end of the season - maybe Robins or Rowett) but we were described as the best counter attacking/pressing team in the league. I think that shows the progress we made under JDT last season. What we struggled with was breaking teams down. We were dire in the first half of the season, performance-wise some of the dullest football I've ever seen at Ewood. Results were good though for the most part. Players like Wharton and Buckley will be key this season, especially at Ewood. Because we are so good on the break, teams will be wary of leaving us space to exploit. Hopefully Siggy is a lot more creative than BBD. A RW who can create and a striker who can score and I'll be very optimistic about the coming season.
  17. Scott Wharton getting a bit of stick on here but he played 2 quality passes that were key to both goals.
  18. Yeah, in that interview with the BBC JDT mentions issues going back to his Plymouth days. Sharpe mentioned those issue earlier in the summer too.
  19. Who is Edmunson? Young lad presumably. Must have done well for JDT to single him out.
