  1. Bamford £85K a week. Incredible if true.
  2. I was only joking....but think you said repeatedly we wouldn't sell as many full ST's as last year? So Swags expecting 10k - 11k full ST's?
  3. Semantics. He admitted, as JDT's boss, he'd been wrong as DoF to be looking for the perfect player. Undav and Kone are just a small % of the available strikers. He failed to bring any in. I would and I did. Ennis is a realistic transfer target. It's inarguable to a rational mind.
  4. Don't forget, if we sell over 8.6k ST's by the end of August you have to write a public letter of apology to Sir Swaggott for ever doubting his operational savvy, signed 'Forever Yours, Mattyblue. x '😉
  5. GB did a bit of a 'mea culpa' in his interview when he said he was guilty of looking for the perfect player, and that he had now learnt that wasn't a realistic approach to signing players. GB has failed to bring in a decent striker over the past two windows. That's on him. The club has been crying out for a least one. So he takes all the 'blame' for that. It could be argued it cost us a place in the play-offs. This summer we appear to be targeting more realistic transfers. I'm glad he's at the club, there is clearly a plan in place now after 10 years of bumbling along.
  6. I've never had a friend from Barnsley (great song title) but I've known a few Wednesday-ites in my time and generally liked them. Darren Moore also seems a good egg so come on you Owls!
  7. Support for a club motivated by petty-minded dislike. As it should be 🙂
  8. And pedantry doesn't strengthen an argument.
  9. Burnley went down with a wage bill of £92m. Leicester's is £180m. It's not going to be easy for them, even with parachute payments.
  10. If you're going to be a pedant then you may want to know there's no such word as 'alot'.
  11. Everton are probably in the top 5 of list of the most successful clubs in the the history of English football. Potentially a huge club with their fanbase.
  12. Will Collar came on for the team that was winning - and I said he would hopefully tie up the match. Which makes no sense. The irony is, I saw your 'lead' joke, and thought it made no sense because I wrongly thought 'but they don't have the lead'. But they did. Glad that's sorted!
  13. Oh yeah, haha, I got the wrong team!
  14. I hope he can tie up the match.
  15. They EFL rotate the play-offs across the three days - from memory that is the policy.
  16. I can see a scenario where Leicester escape on GD. But Everton must be favourites to stay up.
  17. All this such-and-such are a 'small club' and have no history and it should be us etc is entitled bollocks. It's irrelevant how many trophies you won 30 years ago. It's like walking round with your gut hanging over the elastic on your shit-stained joggers and telling everyone you used to date the prettiest girl in town. Luton are now in the Prem because they deserve to be.
  18. Thanks for that. Obviously he is highly rated then if they've given him an new 3 year deal effectively rather than just taking up his 1 year option.
  19. Well done to Luton. They finished 3rd so they deserve it.
  20. Interesting they've given him 2 years with an option of another year. Most pro contracts given out in the last week or so have been 1 year with another year option. Suggests they think Gamble could have first team potential.
  21. He got the Liverpool job. What's so special about Spuds that he couldn't take over there?
  22. If Carlsberg did play-off finals.
  23. Betting on his own team's games multiple times. The guy is a fucking idiot.
  24. I saw your unedited post and checked wiki so I could come back and tell you that you were talking shite...but you were right! Tea-cake is East Lancs/West Yorks ........ but barm cake is Lancs in general. I'm originally RV and that was brought up on barm cakes.
