  1. LT saying GB is now working on renewing player contracts that expire in 2024. Following list from Transfermarkt:- Pretty sure i read recently that JRC and Carter are deffo two contracts that expire in 2024, not sure how accurate the rest are.
  2. Speculation that Pears and Kaminski wouldn't be happy being a No.2 so one of them will leave in the summer. Goddard is highly-rated by all accounts. He may go out on loan again. Dowling out of contract in the summer and may leave. I think there's a reason we tried to sign the lad who went to Bristol City in January. This summer may see a big shake-up in the GK dept.
  3. '2000 c*nts is enough'
  4. Looks like Hilton is getting a new deal too (according to Sharpe)
  5. Scored a couple, think he was starting games pre-Christmas but has mostly been on the bench whenever I've had a look recently. Great goal below: Port Vale 1-0 Charlton: Dan Butterworth goal sees Valiants to victory | Football News | Sky Sports
  6. Yep, and then you said it was a shame about his lack of stature, so the discussion moved on.
  7. Big result for Barnsley last night beat Sheff W. They are in the mix now.
  8. pretty much, Eastham is a cm shorter.
  9. We weren't on about their ability, just their stature. You said Eastham's stature would hold him back. I merely pointed to other 'small' keepers.
  10. He's a cm shorter than Shilton, and a cm taller than Paul Cooper. Never did those great keepers any harm, unless they've raised the crossbar since the 80's? 😉
  11. Who's the better prospect, Eastham or Hilton? I think Hilton is also out of contract in the summer.
  12. Have you got a link? Interested to know what he said.
  13. Up Burnley (1st) Sheff U (2nd) Boro (PO) Down Reading (22nd) (if they get 6 points deducted. Otherwise QPR. Blackpool (23rd) Wigan (24th)
  14. Considering what we now know, it's very galling we appear to have missed out on him due to SU offering better wages.
  15. Harsh. JRC was out on his ear 2 months ago, injury prone and struggling to get in the team. Nobody saw this turnaround in his fortunes. I'd be amazed if contract talks weren't going on with those two.
  16. He's also open to a transfer.........time we kicked off the Summer transfer thread!
  17. What might save SU is that they have 5 home games left out of 9, and they're against the likes of Cardiff, Preston, Brizzle and Wigan. Boro's home games are against Cov, Dingles, Norwich, Hull.
  18. If he's on a free JPVH would be a quality signing. If we're 'building a club' the you can't have enough quality players....and we also can't afford to turn down big bids for our players. Other clubs might well be looking at Carter, Hyam, Phillips etc.
  19. Next round of fixtures. A win at B'ham would be massive considering most of the other teams around us are playing each other.
  20. The impossible job: inside the world of Premier League referees | Referees | The Guardian Interesting article on Prem referees. Not sure I'd do it for 350k a year, never mind £35k
