  1. I know he didn't do well in derbys but I'd be putting Feyernord Vs Ajax/PSV and Inter Vs AC Milan above Villa Vs Blues
  2. We could have been afraid and gone with 3 at the back with hedges as a make weight at left wing back. Hoping that means Eustace has got them up for it.
  3. I think the general consensus is, if you compartmentalise the Venkys and the actual boots on the ground recruitment team - most people are still frustrating at the Venkys last of investment but feel the recruitment team have done a good job wheeling and dealing despite them.
  4. Christ between Siggy and Cantwell we will be seducing the Dingles let alone thrashing them. Two sirens calling out to them from the byline
  5. Cantwell rapidly approaching a 48 hour medical. Local journos repeating club line. Can we thumbs up for confident we get this over the line, and thumbs down for not
  6. I fear as time gets on, Coventry will become this year's Sheff Weds regards McGuire and Cantwell. I also fear there's half a chance Waggot is pressuring to use Sigurdson as a body double.
  7. Reckon we will go ahead with the transfer window curry this time around or go for a different takeaway? I'll pre empty the John bull balls comments
  8. The new keeper does take a spot, bizarrely Siggy is an email away from not doing so but we are wrestling the computer again.
  9. For those of us who rather give £2 a month to water aid than £3 to LET, what's the low down?
  10. In fairness in typical fashion he never said signings. Could be 4 nearly signed thems, 4 priced out by nasty clubs
  11. Christ, I didn't need the mental image of Swaggot doing a medical
  12. Ballard on loan and Fletcher on a freebie. Is my football manager manager managing Blackpool now?
  13. Ohashi came with some injury record concern didn't he? And is mid way through a season so far. Not wise to bring him on tonight in my view
  14. Says a lot about Pears that the ball hitting the bar made him jump. Not sure why it does - its just a feeling that makes sense in my head.
  15. There's a young lad on loan from Brighton who's got 3 assists for Stoke tonight. Wonder if he could cut it here
  16. According to Transfermarkt, Sigurdson played his vast majority of his time in Russia as a 10. By virtue of not having any pace in the squad he probably looks on par with the wingers at the club but for me he wasted out wide.
  17. Not sure what Cantwell does that Sigurdson doesn't. (Including the luscious locks). What I can tell you is neither are anywhere near fast enough for what we need. We must be top 5 slowest teams in the league.
  18. I feel like I could mark him watching that. Heavy handed attempt to drop the shoulder then come inside onto a clearly weaker right foot. Thank god YouTube tells me everything about a player. Has Kerlon won the Ballon D'or yet
  19. For SPL viewers, was Beck better than Gent?
  20. Elliot, Tosin and Reed would see us up there (equivalents, obviously)
  21. For me we need to be after A keeper who can command their box and make Pears an understudy. We continue to be chaos at set pieces defensively despite the attacking improvement. I had heard the Massamba Ndiaye who sounded like a punt but ticked the bill but looking back, I think this may be misidentifying Gueye. A loanee left back and central midfielder to put pressure on Pickering and pad the central numbers given Tronstad and Trav's yellow card generating abilities and JRC's injury record. An out and out wide man ideally for the right hand side. This one I feel is complicated as I'd suggest having a pacey left footer would suit more given Pickering cant overlap and Brittain can. But I think budget wise Hedges is the left footed left winger. I liked the look of the Ecuadorian linked as he seemed ok on the left and better cutting in the right. Beyond that, I don't forsee much business. If there is, a tall striker on loan and a tall central midfielder I think would benefit.
  22. Thought despite being lobbed Pears was ok. Still want a replacement. Brittain looked a tad better if not faster. Otherwise defence was fairly quiet. Two steady Eddie's in midfield but our lack of depth and their penchant for yellows worries me. I thought tronstad had a good block from Phillips early on. I prefer Ohashi as an impact sub (so far). First touch is wanting but he's a great terrier. Dolan was nearly there today too, some times the final ball was there but mainly not. JRC looked slightly improved but still clearly injured. Subs wise Weimann and his experience is a very astute signing. Gueye is chaos and a proper passion merchant. Crying out for a keeper, a yard of pace and a central midfield option
  23. Why don't we play Brittain as the winger and JRC as the full back. They're much of a muchness defensively and I'd say Brittain has the yard of pace between the two and puts a better cross into Gueye.
