There is no club until Venkys and the garbage around them leave. JDT was not the problem at all. Once Venkys are gone, we will breathe oxygen again, no matter where that leaves us.

JDT has put Venkys to the sword. Likely gone soon. The legions of garbage Venkys supporters on the facebook groups btw are all still fully backing Venkys and saying this is the best we can do.

The fact that we're not in the relegation zone with this squad is nothing short of a miracle and we have JDT to thank. And this isn't meant to criticize the players - they are a bunch of academy lads in the first team for no other reason than we have lost every senior player of any experience or quality. They have shown some good qualities but that does not translate into well-rounded players fit for this level. The non-academy lads meanwhile were also not Championship quality, it's thanks to JDT they have developed at least somewhat and won us some points. 100% we would be in the relegation zone with a lot of other managers. The blame, besides the obvious Venkys, lies on the shoulders of Broughton the complete clown. Yes we have a meager budget, but the club boasted that it got in 7 players during the summer window. The majority of whom are crocks or actual amateurs that we cannot use. That's on him.

This has to be the worst defensive injury crisis I've seen, like this is brutal. No centre backs of any kind left. JDT is pointing out in interviews he keeps losing players in the transfer window and not getting replacements. And that he is told we need to manage expecations.

Ennis and Telalovic - something must be very wrong behind the scenes. Unless it is ongoing injuries they aren't informing us about, and no matter how much below the required form/ability JDT thinks they are....idk, it makes no sense how a manager desperate for a forward is refusing to use them while we play week in and week out without a single striker. There is literally nothing to lose upfront. I trust JDT's judgment but am just not able to muster a guess what is causing this freeze out of the team for these two.

We've won 3 on the bounce without a single striker in the team, have even Barcelona achieved this? Fear us.

Off topic but the most surprising and hopeless thing about all this is the many comments from supposed fans on the Rovers FB groups. It's a nonstop love affair with Venkys and anger at anyone questioning them. How we are lucky to even be existing at all, how TM did miracles to keep us in the Championship, how we can't dream of anything more. And it's not just a handful saying this, it's masses. Stockholm Syndrome at its worst.

Our only proven striker left, his replacements aren't anywhere near BBD's level. Carter and Pears are unproven youngsters who stepped up for a while to replace first team players who have since left and were never replaced. I hope JDT can stop the rot but I do not know what else we can try with the players we have.

As frustrating as all this is, it unfortunately reflects the difference in budgets. We have no striker to simply smash one in; a defence and GK that here and there handle the basics but are mostly in the team not because they have proven themselves, but because we have no funds for anyone that can deal with actual quality opposition, such as Vardy. If anything our chance creation is better than you'd expect, but that counts for nothing. The Venkys BR Facebook account touted how we have "signed 7 players" but its October and only 2 are playing. That says it all for what JDT was given.

I think we are up a certain creek GK wise. Just a single goal, but everything about what Leo did (and didn't do there) is super concerning.
