  1. If they don’t amend their plans it’s going to be a long season If right winger is the only attacking transfer we are aiming for then it would need to be salah hedges isn’t good enough henriksson looked like a man just off the plane de neve not effective no attacking threat in that team at all until Kargbo came on and even at that we could barely get the ball to him the last half an hour worrying as that was a very average wba team plus side Derby lost
  2. If it is a hard reset I still don’t understand why cantwell would be one to leave he’s only been here a year
  3. Suppose we should be thankful as Glen said the players and staff are in good form with one and other a loss today (which tbf away to wba on normal circs is tough) will make for interesting viewing at home vs brady and co
  4. I’m not pretending I’m fully aware of how the club is being run. That said the last page has been about cantwell leaving which is highly unlikely to happen this summer window given his wages his personality and stop start career of/when he goes it’s more likely to be in Jan if he’s performed well or next summer
  5. And when he doesn’t leave what will be said? this has literally been made up and now people are jumping on
  6. Cantwell won’t be leaving this has snowballed for no apparent reason
  7. Middle paragraph is a contradiction in itself the last line is the problem
  8. Sounds like a horror show in the background and excuse my ignorance but how/why can’t ex players/staff come forward to discuss the club? Is it a case of defamation? Reason I ask is the latest podcasts there Owen coyle took a battering from some players isn’t that the same or is that different?
  9. Well that’s silly your not bothered about losing your club captain and starting number 10 strange
  10. Wasn’t the point in question I agree with all of the above but it’s not what you said - you said no offer
  11. Well it doesn’t matter in the context of my reply you said he hasn’t been offered anything I’m saying he has whether he’s been offered a reasonable contract I’d likely agree and say no but don’t change the goalposts mid debate
  12. And for the record I think the club and venkys are probably the third worst run club in the uk couldn’t see them far enough away from rovers but when debating things let’s not make stuff up without any sort of evidence. Doesn’t really do anything for anybody on a message board
  13. Now your changing your wording to ‘serious offer’ that’s a different conversation altogether You have went from no offer in one response to serious offer in the next which is it?
  14. Luton couple of years ago Sunderland last season to an extent
  15. In April he did yes….where has he said it after April?
  16. Yes he has unless Val has now become a liar he stated after the Accrington game offers are on the table
  17. Cantwell won’t be going anywhere and whilst he did struggle at times last season there’s clear ability I’d even argue some of our players aren’t on the same page as him see him loads of times receiving the ball head up and no runners leading him to over complicate things or just play safe a fit cantwell with Kargbo and hopefully new rw I think he will do a lot better
  18. Agreeing with mercer overall is pretty painful all except miller being like nyambe - miller has scored goals for hibs and Australia i also wouldn’t be judging the other players yet time for that will be tomorrow at 5 and the next few weeks after but I do agree I think we need a striker and a right winger
  19. Middle paragraph would suggest he and his team when doing due diligence wouldn’t have been aware of the noise around rovers? I find that very very hard to believe you don’t have to be a rovers supporter - type it in Google or speak to fellow agents or footballing people to ask JDT season he was unhappy come end of Jan (failed transfers) then the next summer tipped him over the edge if he naive then that’s on him il have zero sympathy for him
  20. Agreed 100% were a stepping stone a free hit for any manager succeed at exceeding club expectations on a shoe string budget and get a move fail and itl be because we haven’t been sufficiently backed it’s near a win win - obviously if you go on a massive run of losses etc they likely lose there job but still a chance worth taking whilst getting paid
  21. I don’t see it with him his interviews already have spoke about transition periods and losing key players and mistakes of the past etc Iv always maintained this stance…..any manager taking the rovers job SHOULD know what they are getting in to. I get the impression Val does more so that JDT or JE
  22. For me at least he’s acknowledged he’s aware of his restrictions the same restrictions JDT and Eustace knew about but constantly complained about (I liked both btw but they knew or should have knew the role they were taking) it’s obviously brutal from the owners/pasha but for me I’d rather a manager acknowledge the job ahead because it now means if things don’t go our way he can’t complain about it (or shouldn’t)
  23. I think no squad number would suggest he’s on his way
  24. Expecting Travis out baradji in new right winger Buckley to be moved on
