I was being facetious with my comment, which strangely some people took literally. There will, as you say, be a budget, but a very shitty budget. The problem with that is we’re left fighting for the dregs that either nobody else wants , or players that were destined for elsewhere and had their deal fall thru at the last minute. I’d imagine the recruitment team have a very difficult job under those circumstances.

There is no difference, they own the club. You can’t be a ‘friend’ of Rovers and not be a ‘friend’ of the Venkys. A true ‘friend’ of Rovers would be calling for the owners to sell up which WATR are categorically not doing. Understand?

Tonight highlighted why we should have made quality signings early in the window. We’re down to the bare bones and we were still the better team. Sadly another 3 points down the drain against very average opponents.

Not all doom and gloom. Still in 6th. We were more than a match for Cov and would probably have won on another day. The doom and gloom will come in a couple of weeks when we’ve signed no-one.
