  1. Not watching but we were all over the place last week. It’s no surprise.
  2. Ismael got lucky once, in the same way Coyle did. He’s the new Coyle
  3. You can have a sip every time Dolan spins 360 degrees and loses the ball.
  4. I hope he’s spotted he’s a Left Back
  5. Happens all the time. Every club in the Prem will have known players like Eze and Wharton are rare talents, but very few of the big clubs are willing to take the plunge. Or the players don’t go there because they know they’ll not develop as quickly cos they won’t get much playing time. That leaves small PL clubs like Palace to take a punt. Then a year or two later the big clubs buy these players for 5x the amount they could have got them for 2 years earlier.
  6. Again, you don’t know how the transfer came about. It’s entirely possible CP made a take it or leave it offer which we had to take as we were desperate to sell. Like I said, everyone at the club knew we’d sold him on the cheap. That’s the bottom line.
  7. You don’t know enough about the transfer materialised to be able to state categorically he wasn’t ‘rated as he should have been’. The reports at the time said interested clubs were holding off till summer…this included Chelsea. Everybody with eyes in their head knew how good he was. We were a distressed seller. Palace took advantage of that. It all happened very quickly and I’d imagine every big club in Europe is kicking themselves.
  8. JDT told them to wait until summer before selling. His ceiling would have been much higher. Everyone at the club knew we’d sold him on the cheap. Alex Scott, for reference, went from Bristol City To B’mouth a few months earlier for £25m. He isn’t a patch on Wharton.
  9. A good article, and further proof those running the club are cretins and that Eustace, like JDT, was completely undermined by said cretins.
  10. Still repeating the same shite. We got rinsed because we needed quick money. Everyone at the club knows that.
  11. Isn’t that because you live in New Zealand?
  12. Deary me. I know what an impediment is, and what you keep quoting is literally telling you that the conditions for any remittance have been met or will be met in future. Thats the bit YOU don’t get. There is no impediment because the conditions are the bond. They can choose to pay the bond. They are billionaires. A choice is not a legal impediment. There is literally ‘no objection’ to them sending money. They’ve got a certificate and everything. A precedent has now been set. When the club released the ‘no impediment’ statement it was just after the NOC was granted. At the time I said something had changed for them to release that statement. You and the experts continued to state they couldn’t send money and the club statement was just ‘cleverly worded’ and that nothing had changed. You were wrong as the accounts have now proved. So like you and your fellow experts were told 12 months ago, Venkys can fund but won’t. Their business model couldn’t be clearer - sell players to keep the lights on. So, and please don’t take this the wrong way, if you’re going to be patronising at least have a better grasp on the things you’re being patronising about.
  13. I read a comment by a Barnsley fan the other day saying their football under VI was ‘mad’, as in a bit chaotic. If he can get some kind of reaction over the next 10 games or so we are more than capable of getting in the play-offs. As for Cov, they are having a great run of form but as we all know bad runs tend to follow good runs in the Championship. Let’s hope they’ve peaked too early. Still all to play for.
  14. I was saying it this time last year shortly after permission was granted. You denied anything had changed until you spoke to your mate Pasha 6 months later and then did a u-turn and said they could send funds….basically agreeing with what I’d been saying fur 6 months prior. Quite funny when you think about it. What is the impediment?
  15. No, it is black and white. They can send funds, they are choosing not to. That has been the case since this time last year.
  16. You were wrong in the past. Today’s accounts back up exactly what I was saying last summer….i.e. something changed this time last year. You and a few others told me I was wrong then. Today you have the proof I wasn’t.
  17. Not quite. You and a few others argued for months that they couldn’t send any money and that the line about ‘no impediment funding’ was a lie. You were wrong. The reality is they can send funds, hence ‘no impediment’, but they’ve absolutely no interest in doing so whilst the club can survive on the proceeds of the Wharton money etc.
  18. Eustace is the devil incarnate. VI’s letter writing and Adam Murray’s loyalty now represent all that is pure in the world.
  19. Sweet, naive young Chaddy believing he’s staying at Eastbourne because of ‘loyalty FFS’. We’ve no idea why he’s staying, we’ve no idea if we want him. It’s all tittle-tattle. And who knows, he might even want to pursue tennis full time and give up on football completely. So many unknowns FFS…..
  20. So we’ll get about £12m more if he goes for £100m
  21. Watch the first 15 mins of the 2nd half again. We were getting battered. We repelled them by defending our box well. It’s completely wrong to suggest they’d settled for a draw. VI then made the subs on 60 mins and the game changed.
