  1. As a former one season Prem team loaded now with parachute cash there'd be nobody to get from Luton for less than ten grand a week and not one on £6k a week. So they won't even have even looked there sadly.
  2. What the local journo's should do is quite simple 'Ok Mr Ismael fair enough' then turn straight to the club and say right where is Mr Gestede he is director of these operations and these questions are for him to answer, if he doesn't we'll have to concoct our own headlines and he may not like it'. Makes me boil that just casually batting things off means that nobody is accountable, someone is always accountable for every action. Get after the root of it.
  3. I suspect when he says 'double' it's just the spin Gestede or whoever has put out there although it means little with the way Rovers now go about things. Could mean twenty grand a week, could mean they are offering 3 years whilst Rovers are offering year extensions or it could mean overall contract including signing fee, wages and bonuses. Whatever it is we know he'll be better off at a key stage in his career although as usual it's taken on a world of its own in social media land. 'Travis is our highest paid player and Derby are doubling it, could be 40k a week, he's a greedy bastard doesn't love the club feck him' Idiots pure and simple idiots.
  4. There is zero point starting Travis now his head will be up his arse and the chances of him getting sent off or picking up a daft injury will increase ten fold. No point having pops at Ismael either over what he says as i think it's clear putting things across isn't always his strong point and he's slap bang in the middle of it all anyway. Lets leave the scrutiny on him to his tactics, team selection and subs, all of which need to be spot on tomorrow.
  5. Both i think and in that window we brought in one player, who just happened to be his wife's client. The ownership situation is just so easy to exploit inside Ewood if you have the ear of the right people.
  6. I did wonder if he was on commission or working for someone who is it wouldn't surprise me if he disappeared once all the wheeling and dealing is done. And it turns out he was hired on a short term consultancy basis, like Senior was. Extremely odd how he parachuted in from nowhere then next news he's running the whole football operation.
  7. Well you can break it for the odd player and they have done in the past and were allegedly considering doing it for Szmodics. Despite cost cutting they also sanctioned a 20 grand a week contribution to Dennis loan wages, you just never know with this lot but cutting back wages so dramatically should allow for the odd quality player or two to be paid more, like Cantwell now for instance. The biggest needless issue is the fact they cannot even get or are prepared to pay academy graduates on a couple of grand a week to commit again because they are obviously not even offering them ten grand plus. That's just ridiculous.
  8. Could well be the Tim Sherwood effect, not comparing as players obviously but Timbo was a big character around the club and in the dressing room and so is Travis. A big loss when he went.
  9. No doubt that was said every time before we've played them, sorry but they often do.
  10. We hadn't lost to Burnley in over 30 years before this lot bought the club but now we haven't beaten them for over 15 years !
  11. Mowbray represents the ONLY successful period in the Venky reign of the last 15 years that's why he is getting one. Even then we had to go to league 1 first but he stopped things getting instantly worse at the time so they should be eternally grateful.
  12. I'd take Adam Hanley back at right back before i'd play Montgomery there at Championship level. Not his fault he's trying his best but he'll get roasted most weeks in either position i suspect.
  13. He was doing well at right back last season......5 leagues below ! Needs loaning or easing in midfield in cameos but we are now either dealing with a new wave of idiocy at Ewood or pure financial desperation. Probably a combination of both tbh.
  14. Absolutely totally and utterly to the contrary. What we need to see is all those players being kept to get us through this season, allow the new ones to bed in and just try to stay out of the bottom spots. No point whatsoever grabbing what will only be a few million quid to weaken the team even further and see next to nothing reinvested and a load more lightweight non Championship newbies come in. Selling anyone else is a pointless exercise unless 3 to 5 mill per player is dropping into the bank, which there is no chance of. Why are some so dead set on going with the Suhail agenda and clearing everyone out 'because they won't sign' ? We are fecked either way so for now stick don't twist we've had enough pain this summer lets not rubber stamp relegation under some fantasy that better replacements are on their way and will gel in a few weeks.
  15. What they'll do here over the next 12 months is cut everything back as they are doing, spend only the bit they have done, then only promote youth, bring in frees or a couple of hundred grand players and a few loans the next few seasons. All designed for another fire sale in 2 years that they'll be deluded enough to think will bring in similar money to this one and as you say those not sold will walk and there'll be another round of staff changes, reset, new journey/project/chapter or whatever. This is the model now sold to them by god knows who. League position is immaterial, maybe even league.
  16. So in other words he's here to make sure all the lads with 1 year left get sold and no big contract offers are made they might accept.
  17. Yeah it's basically a 12 month contract which i'm sure a player at his stage of career is delighted about. Said it before though all this is being done on purpose they know full well the situations they are creating.
  18. Precisely why i never get involved and i have the utmost respect for those who do despite sometimes differing opinions. The club is infested by self serving parasites before we even get to the actual ownership. Got to think of your own mental health first pal, better off out of it.
  19. Not this season....yet. By the way i think ACD will turn out a lot better than Markanday but we'll see.
  20. Alan Nixon goes out of his way to gaslight Rovers fans whenever an opportunity arises. He's a fud and a dud.
  21. Quite possibly. I know he put his name to the Mcfadz, Batth type signings but there was also Fleck, Dennis etc. A few million straight down the pan.
  22. Dennis is a complete dud and was a panic loan to try and pacify Eustace. Whoever spent that money on guys like him ought to be sacked it's as simple as that.
  23. We are owned and run by the insane though so to them all of a sudden it makes sense. The attitude there now clearly is 'why spend this, why do that' when you can do it for much less and just stay in the division. Sat in an office in London or India it might make sense to a foreign conglomerates accountants who are being fed this crap by a Blackburn based grifter. In the real football world at Championship level it's a one way ticket to relegation eventually.
  24. ACD always had something about him it was obvious when he first came here but he lost his way the Championship was too soon for him. He's another year fitter, older, stronger now we'll see this all the time when taking those kinds of loans because WE ARE A DEVELOPMENT club. Just seems maybe more focus is now going on developing our own instead of other peoples. Brighton probably got ACD's loans the wrong way around he should have been in league 1 first but no surprise to me to see him doing well.
