Did Mokoena look good against cardiff? anyone see him? heard he looked good. (as in play well, not look nice) I seriously dont want ferguson to go, Emerton Ferguson Savage MGP looks a very good midfield and should easily keep us in the prem. However if he is adamant on leaving the story of us giving £3m and Gray to B'ham and recieving £4m and Micheal Ball sounds the best deal. Cover at left back, a shocking left back off the wage bill also. With plenty of defensive cover and with Mokoena and savage added to the midfield we should be on the look out for a striker. The £3m spent on Savage would have been far better spent on Ashton in my eyes. But cheap strikers with decent records can be found if enough searching is done. Bolton have proved good players can be cheap.

As i said i think savage is underrated. His goal on saturday was quality and i have lost count of the number of quality assists and crosses he has provided for heskey and morrison. May be slightly expensive seeing as hes 30 but the quality of player cant be argued with. Ferguson and Savage center Mid is excellent and the right mix i think. With Mokoena and Nelsen coming in hopefully defense is tightened up. I also think if stead can get a goal he will discover his for and a striker is not needed. Dikov has scored 7 this season. Defoe and Johnson have only scored 3 league goals more. We should be positive at the moment. Your always going to get some whingers no matter who is signed but thats life. Also its pleasing to see that Mark Hughes name is attacting players as can be seen with the savage deal. I dont think we should think of this as a done deal however, as its possible hes going nowhere.

I think Robbie Savage would be an excellent signing! HE scores his fare share two and i think his skill is underrated. for example his overhead attemt against us which hit the post. He scraps like dikov, which may mean we could get away with not playing dikov and put stead gally or a new transfer with more quality in from the start. My only concern is i hope we dont spend all out bidget on him as we seriously need a goalscorer. Hartson would be excellent as he seems to score wherever hes playing and tends to start scoring quickly. Good to see the defence being worked on, doing well at the moment but i still feel its not up to the premiership standard and the replacements on the bench are abysmal. Dont know anything about Nelsen or Mokena though.

YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Gally you beauty! Pens seem to be like busses, wait ages for one and they all come at once! A win has been coming, hopefully its a turning point in the season. -
Thats taught him to never joke again! Some of you are such stiffs! Lighten up!

I heard a while ago, that Rovers were negotiation with some team, think it might have been a belgian team or something, cant remember, to be a feeder club to us. Did this ever happen? what was the team called? I wonder if there could be any decent signings available from there. Im sure chelseas feeder club is PSV!! Not a bad club to start with!
-
Got to get rid of Tugay and Amoruso now, there both off the pace of the prem, Tugay because hes past it and Amoruso never was, he makes so many mistakes! They will be on high wages also, sell them and bring a good centre back in with the funds!

Think of it this way, if you were the best players and captain of a struggling England team who were struggling to qualify for the WC would you play if you had a slight strain? i know i would!
-
Rooney and Shearer are different players! Rooney drops off and creates more, whilst shearer is a target man. I dont think rooney will ever score as many as shearer (although he will score alot!), but i think he will create more for his team mates! He did this brilliantely at Euro 2004 aswell as score, just Owen was too @#/? to take any of the chances!

Can u name any rovers players that had a great game last nite? If he was such a poor player why is he captain of rovers, an international team (albeit scotland) and was a fans favourite at a massive club like rangers! He is a quality player, who else would we replace him with? Douglas, Flitty? i think not! -
Brad Amo Short matteo Emerton Fergy Tugay Pedersen Djorkaeff Stead Dikov ???????

Shut up you tool! What games have you been watching, Barry must have got at least 7 man of the match awards since his injury, and was just finding his feet before it. He is a quality player hence he has been made captain to lead by example! -

Why on earth was stead subbed? He was playin well, holding the ball up superbly and his distribution was excellent, despite not scoring his all round play is excellent, when brought off, the pressure we were putting Charlton under lifted as the subs didnt help. -
We need more pace in attack than a 36 year old midfielder. Charlton almost did us on the break loads last nite, whilst our midfield and attack was slow!
-
Atually no, liverpool, maure, n'caslte, saints, fulham and a number of other clubs have a quieter home support than us. Was that a joke??
-
Whats happened to Gallagher? We were promised big things last summer. Is he Injured, because i went to watch the reserves against liverpool and he wasnt in the squad. Also jemal Johnson looked quick and skilfull, and Derbyshire has apparently been excellent for the reserves. do you think any of these are near a first team run? as a side note glad to see Jansen scoring, well have to see if he can sustain his place as he was very average for the reserves.

I feel abit sorry for Graeme, it seems the whole of Newcastle hates him before hes been given a chance. I hope he does well at Newcastle and he seemed genuinely sad to leave, i hope we give him a good reception. -
Sounds like Mike Newell wants the job from the statement he released.

Mabye with strachan we could tempt Beattie Niemi (as Brads no2) providing we win the lottery a number of times! The opinion of people in the know (on sky, not me lol) is that Souness has been appointed to take dicipline to Newcastle and sort out the likes of Dyer and Bellamy and to quieten the dressing room, Did he really do that at Blackburn though? To be fair though, he now has the chance to work with players such as Shearer, Kluivert, Dyer, Bellamy, Jenas, Milner and 52000 fans every week, which wasnt the case at rovers! -

Are you listening sky sports news! The geordie fans are hating the decision and the blackburn fans are pleased hes gone in most of the emails read out. Also Strachan seems to be the fans choice of a replacement, which also seems mirrored on here. A geordie fan email just read, what is Fred Shepperd thinking, Souness' is tactically poor and his signings second rate. Sounds like he has the backing of the geordie fans doesnt it. In a way i feel sorry for him, i feel one reason for leaving is he knew he was in for the sack and is saving his pride, apart from being quids in. I wonder what Bothroyd and Pedersen think of the situation, and if they'd have signed if they know this would happen. -
Gordon Strachan would be brilliant, but i very much doubt he would want the job, as he is on his " break from football." We need someone with tactical knowledge and man management skills which souness didnt have. I have a feeling another foreign manager will be brought in, as that seems to be the trend at the moment.

I suppose im quite pleased hes gone, mabye now well see some sensible formations, players like Emerton, stead, pedersen will all be keen to state a claim for first team so may up their performances, also well get a compensation sum which beats paying him off. I am shocked however, with the signings of Pedersen, bothroyd, stead, matteo it seemed he was going to stay and had a plan for the future. I just hope he doesent sign our best players eg Ferguson, friedel, stead etc for the magpies! -
Whats wrong with De Pedro? I hear hes not match fit, does that mean hes injured, overweight, lacking match fitness( didnt he play much for Real Soceadad?). When hes back do you think hes start as 1st choice left mid? where will pedersen play? upront?
-
Apparently it says on ITV's Blackburn page that we are going to sign Charles Edouard Coridon from Lens. Who is he, is he good anyone know? Apparently Celtic are in for him too, but again hes an older player(31) and another midfielder! I hope we get Pedersen instead, although Coridon is free!
