At the time I thought he could be a good addition, and give us a presence in the box we massively lacked. Big and strong. However, after only a couple of games it was glaringly obvious he would never be up to the standard needed both technically and football brain. Lucky to get a fee for him, not that it would be re-invested anyway.

It may have been coincidence, or may have been related to payment bonuses if he plays more. I have however for a while found it strange how many injuries we get every season, and also every player whos injured seems to be out for a number of weeks/months. Never just 1 or 2 weeks. Is something lacking with the medical/fitness/physio dept at the club? Wouldnt be surprised.

Apart from a brief run of form a couple of months ago we've returned to being dogshit. If we're honest though, performances and results are about representative of the standard of the squad and management these days. The summer transfer policy was the thing that finally broke us. Still think well go down this year.

Not that fussed about Tyjon. If he was that good he'd have been closer to the first team already. If you're refusing contracts before even playing a first team game, that tells me either you or your advisors will be trouble. Its a shame some talented youngsters chase more money from such a young age rather than trying to get first team football. I always think if youre a young prospect, doing well in a lower level first team will put you in the shop window far more than the premier league U21 sides. 3 years after Ash Phillips left, he's still in the championship after 3 loans, but on more money I guess.

How did Henriksson do against Boro? Its so frustrating that any injuries we get seem to be weeks and weeks out rather than the odd knock for a game. Where has Tyjon gone? Has reality now hit that hes not as good as was made out to be over summer.

Love the letter. Agree with every single word. My only worry is it is just words that may not be seen or respected by enough supporters that it doesn't have any effect. Why Venkys continue to own us and wont try and sell, despite making large annual losses but likewise wont try and chase promotion to where the big money is...is one of lifes great mysteries. Seems completely pointless. Unless theres some dodgy tax write off scheme going on...which is more likely I suspect. If a billion pound company has a couple of small loss makers, it may save them more in tax gains than the losses we make.

Great news for the lad. From no-where really, complete unknown when signed, no real club pedigree...to performing like he has and now a soon to be international. Good on him. Fuck me though, our squad is in bits at the moment. I know our owners have asset stripped for years, and the summer window was an abomination....but that must be 8 or 9 first teamers unavailable now. Any championship side would struggle with that.
