"None of the top 6 were got out by good bowling it was just poor shot selection" ... which indicates that they have not scored anywhere near as many as they should.
so 300 is a competitive score regardless of the wicket?
Doesn't make sense to me.
Nonsense, it's a good batting strip and England have the whip hand.
The Johnson/Haddin partnership was a frustration, but hey-ho, it's happened to the best of them.
Overall, a solid start from England, and Australia on the back foot already.
Give over you wind-up merchant.
You don't care who plays for England, as long as they lose.
You came on here to crow at a poor England performance in the first warm-up game of an Ashes tour. It's not even a test, and you're crowing for all your worth. Perhaps if your posts were less bombastic you might get away with it. But you're about as subtle as an Indian bookmakers' bung.
Woakes doesn't sound like he has anything in his armoury to bother test batsmen. Have England picked another bits and pieces cricketer?
Kerrigan sounds like he's had a torrid day, perhaps his desperation to succeed has seen his nerves spiral out of control. I really feel for him.
England will do very well to take 20 wickets in this match. We need the top three to turn up and/or Broad to come to the party in style otherwise we'll end the series on a low.
It looks like the DRS is a mess and has not improved the accuracy of umpires decisions.
Perhaps a warning in there somehow for football. I realise goal-line technology may be more infallible in that in only has to sense when the ball has crossed the line. However, for most of the other decisions, they would be made by a human being, with the associated fallibility.
Something to ponder.
