  1. Compromising photos?
  2. just watching Die Hard 4 on C4 now. It's classic. "Did you just see that?" "I saw it. i did it."
  3. Apparently we want 3.5 mill for Benni, somehow I can't see that happening. I get this awful feeling that with the manager not rating Roberts, he's selling Benni to fund a new bid for Davies.
  4. Just so long as we don't waste our time getting new midfielders in!
  5. Great, so Benni doesn't create the sort of chances that Roberts makes and then fluffs for himself? Can't see the difference myself. But Benni *does* stick the ball away when he has the chance. I don't think you could actually call Roberts a striker really. He's like a nightclub bouncer in a football kit.
  6. Just seen Taken, totally effing brilliant. If you like proper action movies with no choppy editing nonsense, no silly CGI stunts, a physical leading man, then i totally recommend it. It's balls to the wall.
  7. Another nail in Allardyce's coffin if he does this.
  8. Never watched one - it would annoy me no end and would probably make me feel queasy.
  9. Die Hard 4 is a top movie. There's no earthly way they could top that. It's stupid, but it's good stuupid. I really do like that ruck in the car park with the martial arts bitch. Classic stuff. John McLane, one of the all-time great movie characters. Welcome to the party pal! Number 1 was the best.

  11. Number 3 I didn't like so much, number 2 was solid. It's got the T-1000 geezer in it, it's gotta be cool. "Hey arsehole, what do I look like to you?" "A sitting duck." Hey, Gunnery Sergeant Floppy-Knobby, tell us about fuse delays on grenades again, it's enthralling!
  12. Die Hard's got to be in my top ten, god knows how many times I've watched it.
  13. "Mr. Takagi, I could talk about industrialization and men's fashion all day, but I'm afraid work must intrude, and my associate, Theo, has some questions for you." The whole film's absolutely wicked and #2 was pretty good as well. apparently "Yippee-kay-ay" means "here, eat this" in Urdu. cool.
  14. Were you shook up? Were you nervous?
  15. The whole film's one great big quoteable line. "Is that you John Wayne? Is this me?"
  16. Wow ... you've not seen V for Vendetta Glenn? Would've thought that was right up your street. And Full Metal Jacket as well. That film is just pure brilliant. "You better start ****ing me tiffany cuff-links Pyle, or I will most definitely **** you up!"
  17. I liked the line about Johnny Unitas. "you can't put me in a cage man!" And the line about going down the freeway in a metal coffin. Seriously cool stuff. Now I switch over and there's some French gaylord stuff with Colin Farrell kissing his mother and having no penis, it's frankly ill-making.
  18. Point Break has just been on BBC1. Honestly, how cool is that movie? It's just cool, man! :-) Makes me wanna go surfing on Deal sea-front, even though I can't surf! yeah!

  20. Maybe it's a case of getting bodies into the Academy to justify its existence? A championship team then takes a chance on one of our youth players thinking they must be good because they've been groomed by a Prem team, eventually find out they're not up to scratch and down the leagues they tumble.
  21. Bloody hell, that's a blast from the past. I thought he was meant to be quite decent. As for why some of these players just drop through the leagues into obscurity so fast after they leave us, I'd hazard a guess that they lose motivation once they realise that they're not going to make it in the way they were hoping? And Gary Harkins going on mazy dribbles ... I'm sure I could do a mazy dribble or two in the Scottish First Division. They're either all standing off of him, or he's a late developer.
  22. Yeah, as much as I liked Psycho as a player, a manager (even at Championship level) he ain't.
  23. ... but assistants don't make good managers. Bobby wasn't assistant to Ron Greenwood.
  24. He didn't have a clue what to do when things starting going wrong.
