  1. Was it Posh Spice? He was flaming useless. The one thing he should've done differently is not to have signed the contract in the first place. He didn't seem to be benefitting from making notes when he was on the touchline.
  2. Why are people getting het up about Lucas Neill? In the words of Fleetwood MacAvennie: "Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone." Yes, he told Brownie fibbers (probably because he knew it was going to be all over this website afterwards), yeah he ran his contract down to get a mega-dosh move, yeah he's not satisfied with earning only 55k a week at West Ham. From what I remember though, he said he moved to have a new challenge, not necessarily to win things, and he didn't want to be a substitute. "Modern-day footballer out for himself, not fussed about leaving current employers shocka! Read awl abaht it! 55k a week not enuff!" It's a wider pehnonemon than just Lucas Neill.
  3. They flaming love drummers over there! My parents were at a Juve game and were sat not far from 10 of the beggars. Can you bleeding well imagine what that must have been like? Like being in the centre of teh Royal Tournament or something.
  4. You as well, I had a cracker over Christmas. Started Christmas Eve, right up into the New Year. Persopnally I think those Beecham's things are the best, a pack of 6 little tubes like energy gels, hit teh spot.
  5. He won't be able to play in the FA Cup game because ... He'll be under curfew!
  6. Just like a bad night out in Burnley ...
  7. Apparenrtly he was crying his eyes out in prison. Oh dear.
  8. From a different forum:
  9. Is he not that male cheerleader then?
  10. 28 days later was just another cliche-laden end-of-the-world film. It's a very well-worn groove, and shooting it with a handheld digi-camera doesn't disguise that. Planet of the Apes was OK - does that qualify as an end of teh world movie? He feels pretty lonely when he sees the Statue of Liberty ...
  11. I can see that he's for the chopping block.
  12. We need to fire axe I think.
  13. Another story about Barton, appearing in today's Daily Mail ... A team-shirt was being passed around the bus for players to sign, it belonged to a youth team player. Everyone signed, bar Barton ... who smeared food on it. I'm sure another one of those horribly-diostorted stories about our Joey, by people lining up to do a hatchet job on him.
  14. Who? Ronald McDonald?
  15. I was trying to see things from his point of view, as I say his earlier comments do stretch credibility just a little given that this happens time and again. What he was doing at half five in the morning outside the chav magnet that is McD's ... who knows? You'd think if he wanted to avoid trouble, he'd avoid situations that were likely to generate trouble, carousing the streets of Liddypool at that hour doesn't sound like that sort of strategy. Perhaps he just likes aggro. A bit of baseball bat counselling should help in which case.
  16. Wasn't it earlier in the year that Barton was saying that he's more sinned-against than sinning; that he's a victim of circumstance more than anything else. He's been in trouble so many times that his previous statements are really stretching credibility. Having a brother do life for murder probably doesn't help. I think Barton needs some form of assistance, whether it be counselling or whatever, otehrwise this stuff is going to keep on happening again and again and again. Or maybe he's just a bad apple, who can tell?
  17. Sounds like harrassment to me.
  18. Apparent;ly global temps have gone down slightly over the last 6 or 7 years.
  19. Mourinho is over-rated and was never interested. He was trying to keep his name in the 'papers, that's all.
  20. He may well be, but I'm not fooled into thinking that F1 is a sport, it's a processing of car-sized fag adverts. Where would Hamilton be if him and Button swapped motors? Where would Button be? It's easy to win when you have the best car (and let's not forget he committed several naughty manoeuvres throughout the year). Boxing, however, is a sport, and I was shocked but pleased to see Joe win. Although I agree with Colin, teh programme is a bloody farce. I just hope he now goes on to paste Hopkins all over teh place after what Hopkins has said.
  21. First team coach at Wallsall apparently.
  22. Not sure if it's an attempt to get Curbishley out of the West Ham job. I did think it was noteworthy that clever Trevor wants someone who is currently west Ham manager, sounds a bit too close to home to me. But in any case, he's bloody useless. You don't need to set fire to his wife's dress to see that.
  23. In the 'paper to day ... Brooking wants Curbishley as manager. God help us, he'd be worse than frigging McClaren!
  24. Opinion polls aren't perfect. I've always, always been against them (ID cards). The thought that they may be brought iun by an over-bearing, money-grabbing, wasteful and incompetent government, and implemented by 100 chimps with a 100 typewriters, oh I do beg your pardon, I mean civil service, is scary. Totally agree with philipl's last post.
