  1. Oh Christ! Paul's optimistic. Expect a 4-0 battering!
  2. Make your mind up, which one is it?!
  3. I'm surprised he made it onto the 'plane - must've been an ordeal for the guy. Perhaps all his living relatives were bundled on as well to help him settle for his 24 hours in Italy. And 'neeps and tatties for the pre-match meal!
  4. Who was the lad who was going to leave Blackburn at 7am on the morning of the game, and arrive by train at Cardiff 30 mins before the game started? Oh dear oh dear!
  5. Famous last words ...
  6. They should've hired Paul Sturrock. And investigated Ciaran Donnelly's parentage for signs of leek-eating.
  7. I must admit fried bananas arouse my curiosity. It sounds like some hic fitness drivel, sort of stuff Dr Atkins would come out with.
  8. Has won several awards from the British Fried Banana Council.
  9. He's been eating too many fried bananas.
  10. Is it still a few minutes walk from the stadium when there's a major game on?! I suggest a re-think may be in order
  11. Isn't that cutting it a little fine?! Or does it pull up inside the stadium?!
  12. "The Millennium Stadium is far superior ... blah blah blah ..." How about the Maracana? Or the Stadio delle Alpi? Or how about playing it on the fricking Moon? Be more of a spectacle, innit? How on earth did they manage in the days before holding teh semi's at Wembley? It must've been HELL! Kick-off time of 12-15 would not be such a problem if it was held somewhere halfway between London and Lancs. Hmmm ... let's see, how about Birmingham?! And as for getting Newcastle and United fans to travel all teh way to Cardiff, it's just farcical. Only the FA!
  13. Flights to Cardiff? Not from Blackpool matey! Only Ryanair goes out of Blackpool, to London and Ireland ...
  14. That e-mail from the FA makes FA-sense to me. If crowds and travel has been a concern when Villa Park and Old Trafford have been used (and don't forget OT is almost same size as Millennium Stadium) for which club has this been for? Surely it is less of a concern for Rovers and Arsenal fans if it were in Birmingham. Clearly the bottom-line is to get as many bodies through the turnstiles as possible and stuff whether they support the clubs taking part or not. Same as for the kick-off times, maximise the telly audience. Sad really, they may as well take a hairy dump in the Cup, for all the respect they're showing it.
  15. AESF must have a Leicester-supporting twin!
  16. More than likely! I think last season's WC semi draw was very dodgy.
  17. Are you insane in the membrane?! Who gives a toss?! We won, someone has to lose, and quite frankly leicester didn't deserve a draw, which is what they came for. Not bothered that pen was a bit iffy as we should've had one earlier.
  18. Agree with Al, it's just the same stuff over and over again, and there's nothing wrong with saying so. This government hasn't got a clue about sport, I really cannot see anything happening.
  19. Chelsea and anyone to do with them!
  20. You flipping perv! I'm worried about this one, it's tempting to put some dough on Leicester - what a turncoat I'd be!
  21. And what's worse (almost) is the cheer-leading on ITV! I'm sure they try to be subtle in their bias, but it shows through so obviously, especially that Tyldesley prat.
  22. Can't really argue with any of that.
  23. Puzzling. The Champion's League does a good job as it provides the best matches in the World at the highest level (as opposed to the best matches in the World at the lowest level?) Most of the best teams are in Europe anyway, so any competition that pits them against each other will provide the "best matches". That is why they have the current format, because whichever one they choose they are on a winner, so they choose the format that makes the most cash. I'm not jealous of it, how could I be? I don't organise my own league competition! If you mean instead that I am envious of other teams competing at European level whilst we do not, you're miles out. I've had years of Rovers being in the Second Division, I can accept other teams being more successful, and what is more, I enjoy watching teams like Barca play. What sticks in my craw is the top teams sticking their noses in the trough for ever-bigger bundles of dosh whilst smaller teams go to the wall. And that goes for the Premiership as much as the Champs League, so maybe I'm jealous of teh Premiership too. Ooops.
