  1. Funnily enough, this seasons ST campaign strapline is "Come Together"
  2. First of all, in answer to the question, I have seen ads in the press, some decent looking benefits for season tickets this year already, one can only assume buses will come next. Considering yet more ‘loyal’ fans defected last year one assumes they will need to do even more marketing. But could you blame them if they stopped? They have clearly invested many thousands in marketing in the past two years to what end? A loss of 3,000 season ticket holders. So far the only suggestion that seems to have materialised is some kind of ‘early bird’ scheme. So how would they have done this? One imagines you could have purchased a ticket in March / April for a minor discount, say £25. But, in these months it was by no means sure what division we would be in. So, would you rather have been relegated and paid premiership prices? Or would you rather have stayed up and paid championship prices (obviously you would) but BRFC would have lost a lot of money which equals no new players. And exactly how many of you would have wanted to pay then for the sake of £25? If you are trying to tell me that would have halted the slide of season ticket sales, I would think not. In terms of the ethnic population, have you considered that perhaps they don’t like football? Or certainly don’t like it enough to come regularly amongst a huge majority of white male fans. BRFC have made many efforts to this end a friend tells me. They considered prayer rooms, Halal menus and the like but the fact remains the demand wasn’t there. You can’t force people to watch football. And to Fourlaneblue, exactly, there may be many suggestions but how many are realistic? Don’t you think that they consider everything internally? They probably have the brain not to try hairbrained schemes that will lose the club money and yield no extra fans.
  3. According to the ST brochure there are season tickets priced at: Standard price: £250, £365, £385, £420, £435, £480, £510, £570 Loyalty price: £250, £365, £385, £395, £410, £450, £540 That makes it about £13 per game or £27 on direct debit for the cheapest Adult seats at Ewood.
  4. Just about every single poster site within the ground covered with season ticket stuff. In fact, even the bar staff were wearing season ticket t-shirts. The programmes were produced by UEFA and there was no advertising of the usual products on the big screen. Let’s hope that those who came were potential Rovers fans. Judging by the amount of kids, the £70 junior season ticket (on many of the posters) will surely grab some interest. Whilst I am on, I must say that alan75’s comment regarding the non-selling of season tickets to those who do not have one is surely a little wide of the mark. I remember last year bus after bus with adverts on and seeing ads at the back of the LET daily. What else do we think they should do? It’s a shame we always criticise but never give them any suggestions.
  5. If he does cause trouble, this would lead to many Rovers fans getting involved and I really hope the stewards/police are on the act on the night and act on these scums before the trouble starts.
  6. Maybe you should send in your CV to the Rovers board.
  7. Our club lost almost 2k of Season ticket holders the season we came sixth- what would you had said, if you were the chief exec? Many chief execs would have left a long time ago if they'd known the reality it is in running Rovers and for the salary we're offering.
  8. The same could be said about yours, Chelsea made a record loss for a Premiership team when they announced a £90m loss. Prior to that Leeds held the record when they posted a £50m loss. I'm sure John Williams and Tom Finn do a decent job in probably one of the toughest business especially when the club is punching above its weight. 1 in every 5 who live in Blackburn is a ST holder- I don't think you'll find any other club in any league in the world, let alone the Premiership with a better penetration stat.
  9. I bet you, that they won't price them that low. You have the cheek to compare loyalty, someone who threatens to chuck his ST because the team got relegated isn't worth any preferential treatment from the club.
  10. I'm sorry, but when have Rovers been offering tickets for a tenner for every match? The ST is by far the cheapest in the Premiership and cheaper than most clubs in the Championship. I guess Rovers are just so distracted by attracting new money, eh?
  11. We've already got one of the cheapest matchday prices in the Premiership and Coca Cola Championship. A junior can get in and watch Spurs for a £5 or Man Utd for a £10. I'm pretty sure there won't be many clubs in the Championship that would offer better value.
  12. BARRY FERGUSON SPECIAL: WEE BAZ COULD REPLACE KEANE AT MAN UNITED IF HE HAS THE SENSE TO STAY IN PREMIERSHIP SAYS EX-RANGER ANDY GRAY Not sure if it's been posted, but it's a decent article
  13. An article from way back in 99, didn't realise that we've got an Ivy League graduate playing for Rovers. However it's good to see that we've finally got a defender with these qualities, Gamble pays off for Nelsen and NZ
  14. I can't believe how quickly some of you have turned against the club on this issue. Has anyone thought that Cardiff might have said no to Rovers reducing the price? The FA Cup gate receipts are shared between the two clubs and Cardiff might have wanted to earn as much money as possible from this tie.
  15. You've raised a good point. I feel the reason Brad can't be as commanding is because the defence drops too deep at set pieces and corners. If Brad had less people crowding his area then he'll be able to come out and take crosses. If you think Brad isn't commanding enough, Enckleman is ten times worse.
  16. Yeah, Roy Hodgson. Buying Blake after been turned down by Dublin, McAteer, Davies, Dailly - all big money transfers for average players.
  17. We need to stop providing solutions for other teams and start concentrating on solving our problems first (i.e. defence, strikers and discipline)
  18. I know the player(s) mentioned on that thread
  19. Guess who's a Spurs fan? Our very own cuidado. Check the last post on the page http://www.gg-chat.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=7882
