  1. Team news for saturday's game:

Injured/doubtful: CKR (shoulder), Dunn (ankle), Markus Olsson (hamstring), Lowe (knee), Givet (hamstring), Martin Olsson (ankle), Bentley (knee)

Out 'til the end of the season: Robinson, Kean, Henley, Campbell, Best and Etuhu.

it gives little options for GB to chose from.

So, I think it will be something like this (if no one recovers):

    Sandomierski

    Kane, Hanley, Dann, Morris

    Stewart, Jones, Williamson, Pedersen

    Goodwillie, Rhodes

Bench: Usai, Rekik, King, Gomes, Murphy, Orr, Slew

Jesus wept, that's not much of a team. Next season we must sort out the fitness issues, we've got nearly as many players " injured " as we have that are fit for selection.
  2. Yeah but he said worst season, not team. Didn't you bounce between division 2 and 3 in the 70's? Surely seasons where you were relegated to the third tier have to be classed as 'worse' - though I accept possibly my favourite season was when we were in the 4th division so what do I know.

Either way, we are back to 2 bald men arguing over a comb as one poster so succinctly put it, we have both been @#/? this season and look like staying up by the skin of our teeth - though we are still slightly in danger of dropping.

We've had kean teams in the past but at least the blokes out there were giving it their best shot. This season I can't say that, we've had too many who had nothing beating under the badge.

  3. Looking forward to it too - as long as England play to their capabilities and win of course.

Not looking forward to the dreaded news in June that Rovers have started pre-season training.

Used to love football but this Indian lot have killed it.

    Mm, me too I'm afraid,

Are you absolutely sure about that? Worse than some of your seasons in the 60's and 70's? Come now I don't think so.

It is though fair to say you are one whole point above us, some achievement. I mean even though you were at one point 3 leagues above us and this shaping up to be our worst (actually maybe next to worst thinking about it) season since we were promoted to this level 14 years ago.

The gap is closing said Claret Ducky, Blue and white Neo replied 'there is no spoon'

Take it from me, first game in 1961. This is the worst team I've ever seen.
  4. I'd happily take a draw. Very happily.

Blow the Full time whistle before the kick off!

Yeah, shows how far we've fallen that we'd take a draw. Having said that I think we'll need to win one game to stay up and surely this is the easiest of our three remaining games. I wasn't among those who thought we'd run away with this league at the start of the season. I didn't even think we'd be in the top eight, the squad is too un-balanced, but never even in my wildest nightmares did I expect us to be in the bottom five with three games to play.

The players have a lot to answer for, even given the circumstances. We've too many loanees, rubber dingy men who have no aliegence with Blackburn Rovers. God knows who I'd pick, I could make a case for dropping about eight of them, trouble is the replacements would be no better.

  5. I repeat my gut feeling about this game. We owe them one.

GB must select a fighting, never-say-die team and tell them that this is their cup final. "Win at all costs", Brad Freidel 2002.

Keep the ball on the ground, pass and run; always want the ball; play for each other; football is a team game; don't be greedy; attempt (now and again) to take on an opposition player and beat him.

Funnily enough Millwall are my second favourite London club (after Fulham). Their best players are Chris Taylor and goalie Forde.

Maybe Taylor is out injured; I hope so.

Please, Rovers, prove me right with a win. Then we can sit back and enjoy the last two games.

We've hardly played like that all season, it's a bit late now. As I said after Saturday's debacle it's pretty obvious that team spirit is non-existent and a collective effort just doesn't exist. No body is playing for any one else in a blue and white shirt. They just want to turn up, get keaned, kean off home and draw the dosh. A lot will depend on Millwall's attitude, if they really want to go for it we're keaned.
