  1. That is the problem. He’s got the ability but as you say he takes the wrong options too often. That was Sammi’s strength - he rarely chose the wrong option in front of goal.
  2. Jimmy Radcliffe - Long After Tonight Is All Over
  3. Al Green - Tired Of Being Alone
  4. I thought that was a great pass from Pickering.
  5. It’s amazing the amount of obvious shite that appears on social media. The world must be filling up with attention seeking idiots who post stuff like that.
  6. Walter did, I don’t know about his son.
  7. Peter Dobing’s dad was a top Rugby League player apparently. Again before my time, I think it was with Salford RLFC. Warhurst’s dad was called Roy. He was a wing half in the 1950’s.
  8. Yes he was, too fast for his own good really. He relied on it. The injuries robbed him of that burst of pace from a standing start.
  9. Paul Warhurst’s dad was a good player at Man City I believe but that was before my time. We had “ Basil “ Rathbone back in the day. His lad was a decent midfielder at Rotherham the last I saw.
  10. That wasn’t a sitter. The guy running with him was trying to take his shirt off as a souvenir! Penalty all day long for me.
  11. I wonder what he had to say after the Bristol City away game last season !
  12. Yeah, we need some talkers in the team. Men not mice.
  13. He’s right about Tom Finney. A truly brilliant player and a really nice bloke.
  14. Gally’s lack of anticipation was his worst point for me. He always seemed to be on his heels when he should have been on his toes.
  15. Yeah, how good was Rudy with the ball at his feet, but he still scored plenty.
  16. Matty was also a grafter, once Souey had sorted him out. One of my all time favourite players. When I think about the incident in Rome it brings a tear to my eye.
  17. Not the “ D” word ! One long time poster on here blew his top and bailed out when I described some of our players as “ short arses “. I thought it was fair comment given I’m only 5’8” on a good day ! I’d definitely be on the half way line as I was short but quick.
  18. Things like that can be worked on. Work rate and willingness to run all day doesn’t come that easy.
  19. They’re probably thinking what I’m thinking - “ Who in their right mind would stay at that circus for a minute longer than they need to ? “
  20. I’d rather have Sammi on the half way line than back defending a corner. The opposition would have to bring one, possibly two knowing how good Sammi is, players back to mark him. It’s disappointing to see Eustace being mentioned in the list of possible PNE managerial candidates. I can see why though.
  21. Or the Japanese lad. Is Ohashi a poor man’s Matt Jansen ? Good little header for his goal and a real thunderbolt off the woodwork. Matty would have been proud of those two.
  22. Fleck in , Buckley out ? What a good move that would be ! At least Buckley is usually available for selection.
  23. He looked interested last night apparently. Was he in the shop window, playing for a move ?
  24. I thought that. Everything he hits is along the ground also. There’s a time for getting the ball a foot or two off the ground.
