  1. The inaugural B.R.S.A 5 a-side football competition was held on Saturday the 14th of March before the Arsenal game, in the B.R.I.C. Competing were teams from Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, North Lancs, South Lancs branches of the supporters association and a veteran's team. After much laboured breathing, incredible miskicks and no small amount of moments of magic, the team from the Republic of Ireland emerged victorious. In what was a nail-biting conclusion, a deserved triumph was finally assured in the last game of the competition by a moment of North-South co-operation with the Northern Irish team saving their only goal of the tournament for a last minute equaliser against the North Lancs team to stop their opponents winning the tournament.
  2. Calling out all Singapore Rovers! Want to help form your very own Blackburn Rovers Supporters Club? Please contact brfc1875@singnet.com.sg for more details.
  3. John Curtis is at Bramall Lane today, talking over a possible loan move to promotion chasing Sheffield United. Curtis is understandably keen on a move since being frozen out at Ewood Park following the arrival of Lucas Neill from Millwall. The deal if completed will see Curtis join Neil Warnock's side until the end of the season. Any Rovers fans hoping to see John in action in the televised Sheffield United-v-Leeds tie live on Sky this weekend will be disappointed as his signing can not now take place within the seven-day registration deadline for FA Cup ties.
  4. 20, this is all making me feel like I'm getting on a bit, next thing I know I'll need an XXXXXL Kappa shirt, and won't be able to move when it rains for the rheumatism.
  5. Souness has today confirmed the club's interest in bringing Slovakian international left-back Vratislav Gresko to Rovers, on loan from Italian side Parma until the end of the season. An agreement has been provisionally arranged between the two clubs. Souness has said that Gresko had a desire to play in the Premiership and they would be talking to the player this week, after he sorts out a personal matter. Gresko is said to be keen to escape the taunts that have hounded his career in Italy since a catastrophic error while playing for Inter Milan against Lazio, that cost his side the league title.

    Christmas Song

I guess your point was proved by the fact, I didn't see it till now.
  7. I for one am delighted for Celtic, even if their fans can't hold their drink. Hope they hammer the current boring Liverpool team.
  8. That's not what I'm saying. I know. Just a general comment, don't want to go into it further or I will get warned for talking about politics. The fact that the Celtic fans have Basque/Palestinian flags, so what? Okay I don't see why they would have one instead of a tricolour but I don't think anyone should be surprised that they support said sides in the disputes. Incidently I saw quite a few Scottish flags in the Darwen End.
  9. another thing, why the hell do the celtic fans keep using words like "use" to describe us? What language is that meant to be? Its like they are trying to make text speak longer.
  10. I really really hope Matty does come back like before, but it is my opinion that he won't, he has had an incredibly severe injury, it is absolutely amazeing that he can even kick a ball and I adore him more then ever for what he has been through. But I feel that the lad is permanently damaged and is risking doing himself more harm by continuing to play. Again I hope he proves me wrong, model player, some of the others could learn a thing or two from him about attitude.
  11. And what exactly is offensive about it? Do you know what it means? tiocfaidh ar la = our day will come Not allowed speak my language apparantly. I really hate all this crap about the connections words/songs are given. This only happens because we let it. Still wouldn't walk around Blackburn saying that. Teann ar la, or something would have been much more appropriate given last nights events. Police and stewards behaviour(especially stewards) not one bit surprised. They like to act all big and powerful and annoy decent fans, but if anyone starts any trouble they are too incompetent/scared s**tless to do anything. Fans without tickets getting in, fans with tickets locked out? Absolute gross incompetence, and I'm sorry Kamy but "they were good forgeries" is a @#/? poor excuse.
  12. Matty's gone lads, time to face it, he still has the physical ability but his footballing intelligence is no more. Very sad and I wish the lad all the best in the rest of his career but I can't see him deserving a place at Ewood for the forseeable future. Another thing, the first goal was not Lucas Neill's fault. Why on earth would the right-back be covering over onto the oppositions main striker, especially when he is on the left side of the box? It was the fault of the centre backs, both being drawn out towards Sutton was bad, neither getting close to stopping him was criminal.
  13. If I ever see someone with a NASA cap on, they are getting abuse. (just joking mate, don't want a yellow card, been like an Andy D'Urso game around here lately)
  14. Ignore him lads, envious of our privelege in playing in Europe while they go to Brighton, Grimsby. So excited now, also having great difficulty pressing the right keys in my @#/? state, and I have to do an exam in an hour.
  15. Brilliant lads, some people really need a sense of perspective on following Rovers, they are your club, you should be singing and f-ing and blinding(provided your not near any impressionable kiddies) from the time you get into the ground.
  16. I'm more confident after watching Celtic yesterday, they were very ordinary against a poor Dundee Utd side, and Petrov has rejected another contract offer(and probably got dropped for it). I'm sure they will bring him back for a big game but lets hope moral has been damaged.
  17. Well I wouldn't go telling the stewards your not a Rovers fan, but there will be no problem with that, we need to encourage all the support we can, bring all the good natured Rangers fans we can fit into Ewood down if you want.
  18. And do the away club pay for the wasted tickets?(or the SPL for that matter). Can't believe Celtic and Rangers would let them get away with that. It says something about the state of Scottish football that they get such low away crowds. How many did Caley Thistle bring?
  19. Celtic always sell out their end for league games, but we have to allow the away fans a certain amount. Think its 2500 or so and they only ever bring 500 tops. Hence the shortfall. Pretty frustrating as thats 2500 hoops fans who are denied seeing their team, but thems the rules as they say!! Hope that clears it up for you. Well okay then, apologies. Those are some pretty stupid rules, can't the club apply proper segregation for 500? or is it that the teams don't return their unsold tickets?
