Simon Garner........it says something very special about a player who,10 years after having left the club, attracts a 15,000 crowd to his testimonial game
[
I hope they do too Paul .....there's a few beads of sweat on my brow at the moment!
Are they deliberately going out of their way to once again mate it as hard as possible for our own fans to get tickets?.Look on the Burnley website....tickets will go on open sale for them at some point.(max 6 tickets per person! )
The look of pure shock on their faces was a pleasure to behold!!
Same again lads 'n' lasses.
''Stu, you seem hell bent on going to this match. If you do get a ticket your in for a 'unique' experience. I went back in the 80's to a Manx cup match with my Dad - Big Stevie - and even he was scared. I've never seen anything like it. Blokes wielding baseball bats, bricks through the train window............It's like planet of the apes ! ''
Once again the policing in 2001 was excellent and Rovers fans were never in any danger..dont let storys like the above change your mind.
No doubt your account is probably true AKH but thankfully matters have changed for the better in good 'owd Burn-a-lee..... errr I think!
''Or to 1 parent with 2 children or more - first come first served basis - queue outside the ground or buy a ticket to avoid que.''
So one 'diehard' Adult supporter pays £4-500 for his/her season ticket and one 'fairweather' gets into Ewood for 'nowt? how long would people turn a blind eye to that I wonder!
Give us a ferkin break...please dont take the p1ss
Once again, the club needs income, hard cash not spongers.
Pot, Kettle, black...are you unable to see its banter Longside?
Surely, nobody in their right mind could take Burnley fc so seriously could they?......

............
How the hell did this little shyte ever become captain of our famous old club?
...Bob Crompton must be turning in his grave!
His heart was never in it from day one.....good riddance to bad rubbish.

As I entered that sorry excuse for a stand the singing from the Rovers fans on the packed concourse made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.....like you mate a memory that has stayed with me!
I wouldn't miss this for 'owt and my advice to any Rovers fans offered a chance to attend this game but are having second thoughts is .......you must be off your heads ffs, you'll be SO,SO sorry you weren't there to savour this rather 'special game'.
Jim, the two ties in 1960 attracted 51,000 to the Turd and 53,000 to Ewood in the space of 4 days!!!.Incredible support for the size of the towns
Our record attendance is 62,522
I heard that comment too PB..do we really need any more petrol pouring on the fire from a local radio station with listeners numbering the hundred's of thousand's?.
Very stupid.
Where the hell do all your 'fans' usually hide then?
Amazing how your support comes out of the woodwork when Rovers come to town !!
''ONLY COME TO SEE THE ROVERS''!
Lets hope this doesn't turn into another Celtic game ticket fiasco!
Ste,I have a feeling the police may not allow Rovers to put tickets on open sale just like last time to avoid chances of them falling into the wrong element of our support who will come out for this one..
''Looking forward to a good day with an atmosphere that cannot be touched anywhere in world football.''
HERE! HERE!!
Maybe you will sell all your's this time if a replay happens eh Longside?
Like Den states mate, Rovers fans had to go through ridiculous vetting to get hold of tickets and it will be same again I fear.
