  1. Are you going work it out for me? BBE lower, 1 Adult, 1 Young Adult and 1 Junior
  2. Excellent summary, therein lies the answers to our gate debate and there's not a lot the club can do about them.
  3. As a buyer of three season tickets, I have a feeling I may have lost out, money wise, this season due to all the cut priced deals offered throughout the season. If I were to actually sit down, work it out and find that was to be the case then I'd be very tempted not to bother with them next season. If the club are going to continue to offer deals next season, it ought to be reflected in the cost of season tickets.
  4. How can someone from the other side of the world pass comment on the social climate of this country with such a flippant throwaway comment. @#/? was all it deserved.
  5. I agree with gaz. A lot of fans have already expressed their feelings by staying away. Another price hike this summer will see even more stay away next season. The simple fact is, the cost of attending matches has exceeded a lot of fans disposable income or come close enough not to warrant spending it all on a football match. There is nothing the club can do about this if it wants to maintain it's premier league status.
  6. Pongo's still to convince me. There's something not quite right with him. His first touch seems fine, his second is somewhat hit and miss, he spends too much time on the ball with his head down and more often than not tries to do too much. Saying that, it's only an opinion after seeing him a couple of times.
  7. Was that squeezed in between their ten minute advert breaks
  8. Unlike Cookie monsters celebration, which is definately not overused
  9. That performance, even though we ended pointless, is good for everyones confidence. To totally outplay a team in fourth spot on their own patch, scoring two in the process shows just how good the team is playing at the moment. Every man and his dog knows spuds were very lucky with dodgy decisions, hell, even my missus could tell they were fortunate. Can't wait for the next game, keep the momentum going, even build on it.
  10. The BBC actually managed to make spuds look the better team. I'm sure they must have mixed in some highlights from previous encounters
  11. The club are averaging 18K home support, WTF can you say that's positive?
  12. How about directing a chant at the drummers. Any ideas?
  13. There must be an answer using a card similar to a season ticket. Database members could be given one on request and all they would need to do was to phone the ticket office, pick an empty seat and pay for however many consecutive games they could afford. Relevant savings deducted on a sliding scale for more games bought. Cards would be retained and could be used at any time during the season to add more games/ change seats once the initial 'credits had expired'. An ordinary ticket sent out with seat/games paid for. Maybe this is beyond the present ticket office administration but certainly not beyond the system. Just an idea, I'll get me coat
  14. Perhaps they'd be better employed in the Darwen end, there they can disrupt the away fans chants
  15. With regards to a Safe Standing area, Hughes in his after match interview on Rovervision ended with the words ' our aim is to get bums off seats ' So now we can quote the manager as being in favour of standing
  16. So the answer could be to use the drums to start a chant when all is quiet, then once the singing has got going, stop the drumming.
  17. I can spot a cheat when I see one, you obviously couldn't spot one even if he fell over your undone shoelace If they'd stick to football, they'd be a great team. But a team that resorts to such distasteful acts could never be great IMO.
  18. You should've told your mum not to use hot water
  19. Lonsdale will do just fine ie. cheap My two kids always get a full kit each. Not from a posh part of Lancashire.
  20. Cryuff and Platini, great players as they were, both said in the late seventies that football should be a non-contact sport. Both have held/hold powerful positions within football. Now their combined efforts aren't to far away from coming to fruition. Trying to remove tackles from the game has seen the upturn in diving/cheating, The idea was to give attacking players protection. Now they are over protected and have become very adept at milking contact situations. They fall over at the slightest touch. Shirt pulling, what's all that about. I played twenty odd years as a defender and can honestly say I never pulled at anyones shirt.
