  1. We obviously didn't defend deep enough. We were caught out by a long punt over the top into acres of space.
  2. Did anyone else notice that Pederson got two yellows
  3. No wonder, they'd just spent fouteen hours in't mill
  4. I'm liking that I want a clean sheet and three points, so I'll go for: Rovers 1 : 0 Everton A scrappy game with an own goal will do.
  5. Stop shouting. The fans that saw the match were concerned over the attitude and application of the team as a whole, quite rightly so. It's not the fact we lost, but the manner of the loss.
  6. If there's some sort of unrest at the club, this will still be visible against Everton. I don't think this will be the case though and we will see a vastly improved performance.
  7. To me, this was the most worrying aspect of the defeat. Not trying would be the last thing I'd expect from a Hughes team. I expect there will be a vast improvement in the effort department for the toffees visit. Got to laugh at the over reaction to our first loss, it seems too many expected us to go through the season undefeated.
  8. Spot on. I totally agree. I priced today's game for myself and my two lads. The cost was more than two weeks food budget, how the hell can I justify that to the wife, all for 90 minutes football.
  9. That's lame Cocker. You should be prepared to swim it from there
  10. Oooh, that's very bitter
  11. How do you know then?
  12. Revie did adopt the 'defend at all costs' tactics that eventually earned Leeds the nickname 'Dirty Leeds'. I wasn't aware of his formation radically changing from the traditional 5-3-2. He did play with wingers although the inside forwards did drop back into a more modern type midfield position.
  13. Wasn't it Alf Ramsey, he didn't play with wingers. His England team were known as the 'wingless wonders'. Because he won the world cup with that team, other managers adopted his wingerless formation.
  14. So he's OK as cover for Savage then
  15. OK, here goes:- 1 Chelsea 2 Liverpool 3 Manchester United 4 Arsenal 5 Blackburn 6 Tottenham 7 Newcastle United 8 Aston Villa 9 West Ham United 10 Everton 11 Charlton Athletic 12 Bolton 13 Middlesbrough 14 Wigan Athletic 15 Manchester City 16 Fulham 17 Reading 18 Portsmouth 19 Watford 20 Sheffield United
  16. In short, yes. He has the skill, he has the class, all he lacks is the experience. So has Gally (be it out wide or up front). I think it's time for both to step up to the mark this season.
  17. The like of which we've not had up front since Duncan McKenzie. I hope he maintains that level of enthusiasm and workrate. If he does, he'll have a massive season. His second goal was stunning, I'll have some more of that
  18. Not worried, but pi$$ed off by them. Bleedin' yuppies left over from the Queen Maggie era. All for one and one for one.
  19. That's exactly what our fans are doing, staying away. Too many people are now feeling that the prices charged down at Ewood are beyond their means and don't represent good value for the cost.
  20. It would be interesting to have a trial match or two without the drummers, just to see how much the chanting improves or if it does kill the atmosphere. Maybe this is something BRISA could try and arrange.
  21. Hopefully that's right because the walk-on numbers will be well down
  22. Ha Ha Ha. No Way Manure will finish second.
