  1. Just checked the BBC website and lawro has got a 2-1 Newcastle win. Does this bloke really hate us or what. what a Tw*t. Im going for a 2-1 win to Rovers. Hughes will have the boys up for this. Should be a good encounter.
  2. Whats with Sven bringing on Owen hargreaves all the time? As if he is going to win the game for England
  3. im Welsh, but even savage pushes me over the edge whenever I hear him speak. He is a dosy old welsh windbag who obviously has got football brains in not knowing ###### and opening his mouth before he even speaks. Plus the fact that he is just above average footballer, doesnt help
  4. Having travelled up to the game yesterday, I was expecting a decent Rovers performance against the Villans. First half performance was ###### poor, and yet again someone with pace (baros) made Todd nelsen have a very tricky afternoon. Dont get me wrong they are good defenders but any team with a pacey forward seem to get the better of Toddy and the Admiral. having watched bits of the game on MOTD Todd was partly to blame but our midfield was also to blame in giving the ball away. We did alot in the first half and Villa deserved to go in 3-0 rather than 1-0. Then there was Kuqi. Hopeless in the first half didnt get anywhere near MGP crosses and for a 'big' player seems to be lacking strength which is needed in Premiership. But support for him was also poor from our midfield. Second half was far better and we came out with a purpose, which was lacking in the first half. Hughesy must have given them a good bollocking because Villa were waiting for rovers for at least 2 minutes. Defence looked alot wiser although the chances which Villa had came about mainly from Rovers trying to get this elusive goal. Gresko looked pretty decent. MGP looked the only decent Premiership player on the pitch. Creating chances, making important tackles and just making Villa play, which no one else seemed to do. Emerton was poor and I was glad to see Jansen and Jemal come on to the pitch. jemal looked decent and gave the Villa defence something to think about and jansen looked way off in terms of being a decent player again, although his effort was there. Couple of things I couldnt understand was why Savage wanted to take the Crosses from the left all the time and not leave them to MGP and why when we were threatening their goal No-one wanted to shoot it was just pass pass pass. Oh no I got to shoot, I'll pass it again I think. only Jemal seemed to have made a decent shot. Kuqi seemed alot better in the 2nd half but wasted our best opportunity, which you just cant do. And that just seemed to have summed up our day. Villa had an International goalscorer who is proven in the Premiership and has that touch of class to score goals (even though hes a cheating @#/? and a school boy(Did anyone see him in his school blazer, tie, and Satchel on MOTD)). Where as we had Kuqi. Why doesnt Hughes play Gallagher?
  5. Well this is my first official Rovers Prem match of the 05/06 season. Swansea doesnt count. I think we need to be more positive and I'm going for a draw for this one. 1-1, Reid to get a goal for Rovers. So I look forward to seeing some of you at the match. Any ideas on where to park? Also are there any away pubs that fans are meeting at?
  6. I'll wait until MOTD before making a real opinion about the match. Neill sent off for second yellow card. Not good, not good at all. OK I know we have got the reputation but that means bugger all when you got to get points on the board. Though the 1 against a second team Spurs, I think we should have gone for it considering Defoe, Carrick and Davids were all on the bench and apparently gave a lack luster performance. lets see what the anti Rovers opinion is of Lawro and Hansen.
  7. Me thinks Rovers will get a draw against the Spurs on Wednesday. Depending on a couple of things... After Saturday's Return to some decent football I think Defoe will be too much for Todd and Nelsen in Defence. Especially if Todd has one of his memory loss moments in defence after the 1st half. I just cant see them handling Defoes pace goal scoring talent. I think our midfield is capable enough to deal with their midfield and yes even Davids & Carrick. You got to remember, on Saturday (Spurs vs Middlesborough), Davids and Carrick were playing the same role of the holding player and would often leave some gaps in midfield. Which did give Middlesborough some great opportunities to score. Plus Emerton and Pedersen are both good enough to cause problems down both flanks. Though Kuqi still has some way to come before impressing me. I think Hughes will stick to the same line up as Saturday. though I dont think Tugay will have as much space to work with as he did against Fulham. If we, close down Defoe quick enough then I will say a 1-1 draw. If not then more liekly a 2-0 defeat. Plus if we are the main fixture on MOTD on Wednesday night then we will lose. Whenever we are the main fixture we just seem to lose. Plus this just gives Hansen and Lawro (Miserable anti Rovers Tw*t) some ammunition to slag us off.
  8. Having listened to Radio 5 Live in the afternoon and listening to Stuart Hall Ejaculating over the Rovers performance and drooling over the two strikes by MGP and Tugay I just had to watch MOTD. One problem, I had to go out for some boozing and every pub/bar we went to didnt have it on. So this morning I got up at 8 to watch the re-run of MOTD. OH MY we don't like that word, please don't use it GOd. Was that two Rovers players scoring Goal of the Month, if not contenders for Goal of the season. Plus a Rovers Team who have stuck to Hughesy words and bounce back from a distarous start against the hammers. this would definately would not have happened if Souness was still here. But apart from that its nice to see us playing good attacking football with very sweet passing. The only problem I was fearing was the slowness in which we started the 2nd half to let Fulham back into it for a couple of minutes. Is any one else concerned by this? Oh yeah, Charlie Nicholas also cumming his pants watching Rovers play!!! About bloody time. Though he will probably slag us off next week. If we get something from the Spurs match then I will be a very happy man.
  9. My predictin will have to be a draw, so I am going to go for 2-1. With Tony Warner in goals I expect us to win. If Cardiff City dont want him in the Championship then he's a good bet to get goals against. Plus, my mates who are Cardiff City supporters say he is ###### and crap at crosses. Touch Wood he will be ###### tomorrow. Kuqi and Pedersen to score for Rovers. Nice to see the Admiral back.
  10. Well its nice to hear that Rovers have started where they left off from last season. Dickov getting sent off for a ridiculous challenge, Emerton losing his concentration and thinking he is in the opposition half and giving it away for the Hammers to score and Savage being bloody useless, when we need him most. but hey its the first game of the season and its a marathon not a sprint.
  11. Nice to hear Jansen is ok and that Kuqi had a good game. he must have improved in the last week or so. Lets hope he will be on fire against the hammers.
  12. watch the game down swansea and I must say I was pretty impressed by Rovers. OK Swansea were not much of a test for the Rovers but already I could see what Hughesy has got in mind for the up-coming season. Hughesy has adopted a 4-4-2 wing attack formation with Emerton on the Right and Pedersen on the left. What was nice to see was hughesy switching them half way through the first half and then having Emerton play in the middle whilst Gallagher went on the left and Kuqi up front on his own. So it was good to see Hughes being able to switch it quite easily. Pedersen was awsome and Gallagher played some really nice passes even setting one up for MGP for the first goal. Best player for Rovers was by far Stevey Reid. Played a blinder and hopefully he will have a good season. The only weakness which we have got is the Left back. Matteo did not impress me,and I think gresko has got some way to go to get back to full fitness. So hopefully Hughes can get a Left back to sort out that problem. Plus I have to say Kuqi has a long way to go to impress me as well. He got bundle of the ball too easily and did not really look up to much playing on his own. So I think I will have to wait and see if he makes an impression by mid season. matt Derbyshire look OK though he look a bit too thin and needs to build some strength before competing in the Premiership. But he does look like one to watch. I must say I think going on what I have seen today and what I have seen so far, i think Rovers will do ok.
  13. Well looking at what most people have said I must put my point of view across. At the time Souness left last season Hughes was my first choice as manager for Blackburn Rovers and we could not have got anyone better in at that particular point in time. As for what he has done during his time so far I think Hughes has done a really good job and has got blackburn to stay in the Premiership for the next up and coming season. And that was his main priority. As a man manager, Hughes is one of the best. I have never seen a more cool calm manager in press conferences and in general footballing terms. Also he has got a lot of players respect which Souness will never have. My only problem with Hughes is his tactical Nievity. When he was manager of Wales, Hughes seem to have got into this one tactic role and we became very samey and teams learnt to cope with his tactics and Hughes couldnt come up with an answer to repel it. Now I hope Hughes has learnt from that, but considering last season and the one man up front I hope blackburn will become more attacking and not rely on bully boy tactics. I want to see some FOOTBALL. Blackburn have got the talent now lets use it. And as most of us have said lets give him time and not judge him on the lack of signings made this summer. This season is the BIG test for Hughes and I will not past any true judgement until Christmas when were either fighting for survival or are in European/mid table madness.
  14. Got to admit it, I was slightly shocked that bellamy decided to come to Ewood rather than a club like Everton who are in the Champions League. But then I think hang on this shows that the Club are looking forward. For Bellas to sign does show that the club want to make its mark. I think Craig is a fantastic player not because Im a welshman but in Footballing terms Craig is a Talent. At last we will have a forward player who can score goals but also a player who can create them. I also think Pedersen will be awsome and lets hope Emerton finally becomes consistant and i think he will. Plus Hughes will actually be able to control Bellas rather than the Thick headed pleb that is Souness.
