  1. I cant believe it. Lawro has predicted a win. So we are obviously going to lose 3-0. Nice one Lawro!!!!
  2. Got to be honest what a pile of horse @#/? written by the News of The World to sell a story to boost up there sales before the World Cup. Quite frankly I would hate to be England Manager as the papers just try to catch you out whatever you do. According to the paper it was a meeting set up by The FA and a guy posing as an arab millionaire. According to Svens agent and the FA alot of it was fanciful bullsh*t and merely a talk. Anyway it was all talk about after the world cup and not before it. Also has anyone figured that they have on purpose snarlled Sven into that situation and entrapping him into that situation in the first place. Got to ask, what the FA were actually thinking of in setting up the meeting in the first place. Where do newspapers get off in trying to entrap someone just before the world cup. Everyone knows what sort of media hysteria it will cause and make England's job in preformance out in Germany 100 times harder. Plus I would like to put this into some perspective. Just before the World CUp Italia 90, Bobby Robson was linched by the press (I even think it was a Sun/News of the World reporter) for 'Betraying his Country' as he was not going to carry on and sign a new contract after the World Cup. In fact what had happened was that the FA decided that they were not going to keep him on anyway and let him go to get someone fresh and new ideas. Then look how well England played in that world cup before the penalties. Just remember 'they are doing it to sell papers'.
  3. Sad to see him go and to see him go to Bolton. But I feel he will be released by Bolton at the end of the season. To be honest he would be better off going to a Championship club and starting again from there. He would have more opportunity to get into the starting 11 and give him chance to score some goals again.
  4. Well done to those who compiled and wrote the report. Got to the point and produce very good ideas to get local support back into Blackburn Rovers. not living in the Rovers area I can not comment or even be prepared to comment on what the situation is like in and around blackburn but I can not help but notice a few things which are very similar to other football clubs. I will take the local club Cardiff City for example. As we all know Cardiff City are in the Champoinship and this season and the last Cardiff City have struggled to get support back into Ninian Park. Many are of the problem highlighted to this report can be linked into the same problems which Cardiff have. However the difference between Cardiff and Blackburn is the Direct support which Cardiff could achieve. Cardiff City are reputed to have a possible fan base of over 1 million people due to the lack of premiership teams around the area (only swansea and Bristol Teams local to cardiff) whereas rovers have to compete directly with Burnley, Preston, Bolton, Manchester, Blackpool and even the likes of Liverpool, Everton, and Wigan. So Blackburn have a much harder task in getting fans and attracting new fans into the club. But yet again it seems Club Chairman and Directors seem to come up with this ridculous excuse of not knowing what to do. Sam haman stated in the local press that he has tried everything to get fans back into the ground and could not think of any other ideas, yet me and my mates came up with at least 20 ways to get fans back and my mate personally wrote these ideas to CCFC. Put simply, Chairman and Directors simply do not want bother in spending vast amount of time and money in getting fans back to the club and is left to the Supporters clubs/fans to sort and propose what can be done. This to me is the main problem with alot of Premiership and League clubs. Plus one of the main facts is... Players wages. Lets face it players are paid too much and club like us are in a catch 22 situation. We got to pay big saleries to get big players to achieve premiership survival and success at the cost of match day prices. Lets get standing areas back. It works in Germany and works very well. a mate of mine watch Dortmund for cheap ticket price and said it was the best game and atmosphere he has been to, fans were civilised but really got behind the team. This game was also against Munich 18something who arent a big player in the german league. I agree with the report to get match day tickets and to get young adults back into Ewood by offering cheap prices. This is the core group you need in order to be affiliated to a club. This is where you gain and lose fans. Get Youth Tickets for 14-18 year olds. Finally, has anyone looked at the fact that Blackburn and the surrounding area is not the most affulant of places in the UK. Those the demographic may largely be on a much lower income and thus simply do not have the economic power to get tickets. Good Luck
  5. Great to see Lawro, the master of Predictions has gone for a positive result 1-1. nice one Lawro. Has anyone got any idea as to what Blackburn would be on had LAwro's predictions rung true? I predict 2-0
  6. Does anyone know if Gary O'Neil is an Attacking Midfielder or just a Bog Standard Midfielder. I have heard from alot of people that he is pretty **** Hot and is in fact a better player than Emerton? Loads of Cardiff City fans says he was awesome while he was there on loan and is also playing well for Pompey. What about Koumas? OK he needs a prodding up the arse sometimes but he is actually a very good creative midfielder. But there again Tugay sometimes needs a good prod up the arase get him going in some games. Plus Robbo is wanting to get rid of him and also the obvious Welsh connection.
  7. 3 Points in the bag (despite slightly dodgy second half) 8th in the league gunning for Arsenal and possibly a European Place on 3rd January 2006 Semi Final of League Cup against Manure. Where we may actually have a chance. Possible 4th Round in FA Cup and hopefully another good run. And all I have read on this is moan bloody moan. For God's sake if someone said to me Rovers in 8th, won all of Crimbo games, and play crap yet get 3 points at the start of the season then I would be telling you to **** Off to Burnley!!! Lets be glad Souness is with Newcastle and not with us. Hughesy has brought a long way from where Souness left us last season and will hopefully bring us some success which we fully deserve for once. Come on lets be happy that we are not battling for survival, like Pompy and actually trying to achieve something for the club.
  8. Should be straight three points for Rovers, tonight. Reidy on form, Bellas scoring, MGP playing well, Nelsen the rock in defence, 3 straight wins. But then there is Pompy, battling for Relegation, Successive wins in a row, Redknapp boosting confidence and Some Russian Tycon's son wanting to spend his pocket money on buying half of the club. Also we are one of the main games on MOTD according to Radio Times, instead of being one from last or the last game. So my prediction for tonight...... 2-1. Pompy will give us a sterner test than Wigan as they are fighting for survial. But if go in at them like we did against the Latics then we should get a win. Come on the Rovers
  9. It is a shame that Matty has to move on, but this is football and with the way Rovers are at the moment the time is right for Jansen to move. In fact he should have moved on ages ago. As it is with Football, players come and go but Jansen will always be Fans favourite. Good Luck Jansen
  10. Come on the Rovers. brilliant present just before the start of the New year. Great to see that there were 5200 fans supporting us, lets hope the gates will start to rise in the next up and coming games. Before the game I said that this will be a test to prove how ambitious Hughes and Rovers are in getting to a decent position in the league and to get back into Europe. We couldn't have proved it more precisely yesterday against Wigan. A brilliant All round performance and gives us great hope for this season.
  11. Great to hear that Rovers have got 5200 fans marching in Pie Land on Saturday Afternoon. As far as predictions go, well I think this game will be a real character test of Rovers and our ambition in the Premier and will prove if Rovers are worthy of going for a European Place this season. If Hughes thinks we should be in the top half and gunning for a place then we should be able to go to places like Wigan and get a result. Good to hear that MGP and Neill are back and it would be a good test for Bellas up front. Wigan will no doubt be favourites for this one and this game will depend on who gets to score first. i never thought I would be saying this at the start of the season but I would be happy if we get a draw at the JJB and ecstatic if we manage a win. As per usual Lawro's prediction says we will lose 2-1... well lets see if we can prove him worng again.
  12. I just got an e-mail from a mate of mine in Blackburn who has been trying to get some Rovers merchandise from the Club Shop for Crimbo for me, here is what he said to me... 'I went down to the club shop today and I could not see any scarf's and the only Rovers hats where pink ! I asked one of the assistants if they had any hats or scarf's. The assistant replied "What Rovers hats and scarf's ? No sorry we don't sell them." I replied "but this is supposed to be the official Rovers shop" to which the assistant replied "no, we are not the official Rovers shop, we are sports world".' Has anyone else had this problem and do we know what Rovers are currently doing about it? OR Has he just come across some dozy shop assistant who hasnt got a clue what is going on. I have purchased stuff from the internet in the past, and I have noticed that a lot of the time merchandise is either out of stock or just not in the right size. Plus the internet shop appears to be down at the moment. Has anyone else had the same problem in the past?
  13. Well I am please that we have finally won from coming behind for the first time in years and also pleased that we got revenge on the hammers. I was impressed with Brad and Savage, and Brad would have knocked him out no problem. Savage is getting on my tits lately with his antics, but then it is Sav I suppose. Nice to see Dickov getting some goals for us to.
  14. AMD 64 Processors are becoming really cheap at the moment as AMD have moved on to FX-57. At the moment I am in pretty much at the same point as you. I am bagging myself a new Motherboard, AMD-64 chip, 1GB memory, 200GB Hard drive. Already got a decent 256MB 6800 chipset and a decent sound card.
  15. I think this game will be a little tricky and could end up with the same reult as at Man City. So there is a possiblity of a score draw. Good to see Cahill not in the Toffee's squad. However, Im not going to be a pessimist and I am going to go for a win. I think we will win 2-1 with Nelsen and possibly Bellas getting on the score sheet.
  16. It is great to see Tont Parkes back in the game and lets hope he can do a good job at blackpool.
  17. Is it me or were England quite lucky to beat the argies 3-2. Dont get me wrong here, Rooney was outstanding and has added that World Quality to the England side, and Robinson has firmly set his stall to command an England place for a fair few years to come. However, the Argies were all over England in the first half and for large parts of the second half until they scored the second to put england back into life. The Argies number 8 Requelme was by far the best player on the pitch before he got taken off (which I think cost the argies the game) and England didnt know what to do with him. Plus Crouch is very lucky to get into the England side at present. It is only because England do not have another Premiership 'BIG MAN' that they seem to go for Crouch. Overated, and the only ability he has got is that he is a lanky lad. Face it, he cant even head the ball properly and his goal tally for this season says it all. A BIG FAT 0. Joe Cole did alright on the left when he came on and he is one which I like because he is not afraid to take players on no matter who they play for. Just ashame his final touch, pass, shot never comes off. ENGLAND will not win the World Cup and have got a long way to go to prove themselves in the final stages. PS before you do the Welsh comments. I know Wales are ###### and lets face it Wales will never get into a major championship. In fact, Wales should not pull out of the Olympic squad as it is the closest thing which we will ever come to in being in a Championship final.
  18. Well done Rovers with that brilliant win against Charlton. There you go lawro, we can win and win can win in style. PS Did anyone see Soccer saturday. Champagne Charlie predicts Rovers will finish in the Top 6. TOP 6 Charlie... I'm liking your predictions more and more. Why cant more commentators of the game see Rovers for what we are. A decent attacking football team.
  19. Crikey if Fergie thinks the Rangers - Celtic derby is the be all and end all in footy then he needs to take a rain check on his football career. Kinda says what the Scottish league is all about. 4 crappy games of Celtic vs rangers. Woo Hoo!!!! Lets face it fergie was never going to fit in at rovers when he is living in a suitcase while his family is in scotland.
  20. Whats with the bloody 'Big Brother Psychologists' looking at Bellamy's Body language and saying 'ohh I think Bellas is wondering who he is playing with' etc etc. How bloody cares as long as he knocks in the goals like he did for us yesterday then I'm happy with that. Bellas has definetely brought the finishing touch and class to the team which we lacked last year. Also he breathes confidence into the team (Rovers vs Leeds and Rovers Vs Birmingham for examples). As far as yesterdays performance well when we went 2-0 down I was fearing the Chelski will beat us with a 6-0 drubbing. But we came back well into it and to bring it back to 2-2 at half time was a great credit to them. Its just that the money talked in the end with Chelski class players. Had it been any other team then I think we could have hold out or even win the game. But then I realised that we are not the best at winning games from behind!!!
  21. After drawing against Everton and being knocked out by Charlton, I think Chelski will be out for revenge this weekend. Dont forget the game at Ewood Park last season when Mr Mourinho was not happy lad at our tactics and our English style football. I think it will be tough and I dont think we will win and be lucky to scrape a draw. Lets face it, that is what Hughes will be going for at most is a draw. It will be either 1-1 (Blackburn having a good game) or 3-0 to Chelski. Sorry to be pesimistic. I will eat my words if we get a result
  22. Dont forget the score line in after that statement. 2-0 to Liverpool. keeping to his Preston/Liverpool roots alive. so Lawro is still a W*NKER in my books!!!
  23. 3 wins on the trot and the rovers are in the top half of the table. Have that Lawro and your pocsey 2-2 in the predictions. Great to see Kuqi on the score sheet and surprise surprise. Bellas gets an injury just before the internationals. I wonder if Hughes is trying to keep Bellas away from playing for Wales in order to get to play for Rovers? If so Id be happy with that. But nice to see us on the up
  24. Holy crap Weve won. We have beaten the Reds 2-1. COOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ON the Rovers Who says we dont play good attacking football. MGP should be given the key to the town
  25. MGP with the goal and Rovers winning 1-0 at half time. Plus 5 Live are saying Rovers are playing the better 'more attacking' football I must be dreaming!!! But hold on its half time. IF only football lasted 45 minutes. I think my Ass will be twitching until for another 45 minutes.
