I think prior to his hamstring tear it was a justifiable gamble (although Mowbray did love his diminutive players), but since then he's lost all his pace and just can't hack in out wide at this level.

They literally got promoted playing the same way (and troubled a lot of PL teams last season with the same style).

You'd expect them to have a good squad when they've spent over £140m on players in the last two seasons. Of course that didn't help them embarrassing themselves last season, but with competent management they'll have too much for most teams this season.
