  1. They're building nothing by having 5 loan players (don't they have 7 in total?). I'm delighted to see the back of those days.
  2. It's almost like we've got a weak squad that isn't going to be firing on all cylinders every match.
  3. Yes and no. He became a very lazy player as he got older - Utd wanted rid because he wasn't willing to close anyone down, preferring to conserve his energy for attack. Also he's a psychopath.
  4. Good lord we've touched a nerve, haven't we.
  5. I gather Dack is seen as an intellectual in the dressing room - make of that what you will...
  6. It's high time the EFL took a firmer stance on this, or cheats will continue to think they can prosper. Fines and embargos are proven not to work, a team needs to be made an example of. Relegation from the football league seems the only sensible course of action to follow.
  7. What, are there no good Union coaches knocking about?
  8. We're not a quick team - I'd say only Thomas is genuinely quick. Gallagher is surprisingly quick for his size I guess. I'd fancy myself in a footrace against JRC and Pickering.
  9. Don't be so sure - this season could still go either way.
  10. Agree to disagree there - the only 'impressive' thing was having their RB run on Dolan for both goals.
  11. There's genuinely nothing in this league. If you're organised you'll win a lot of games. People saying Blackpool are the worst team to play at Ewood this season - I'd both their CFs and their LB without even blinking.
  12. It's genuinely a talent thing. The system doesn't help - in the sense that it asks a lot from the players and isn't designed to cover their weaknesses - but for a lot of the guys in this squad, if they're not playing near their capacity then they're a passenger. There's no cruising through games at 70-80% for these players, they're simply not good enough - which is why we struggle when the fixtures pile up.
  13. Zero issue with starting the same team from last week - they all deserved to keep their places. Massive issue with no subs at half time.
  14. He booked their LB for timewasting - allowing their LB to waste another minute as the referee ran back to his position and the Stoke player dallied with his throw as he had to 'reset'. Incompetent.
  15. Buckley getting sent off for bouncing the ball off a Boro player's head.
  16. My one big criticism of JDT is that he simply doesn't use his subs well enough. When we're on top he only brings them on for people running on fumes. Tonight he needed to take Dolan and JRC off at half time. JRC came off on 85 minutes when the damage was done. He was bringing Morton on regardless of Buckley's injury - I don't understand why.
  17. I gather I'm quite petty, but I simply won't discuss football with glory hunters - the amount of Liverpool / Man U fans in my extended friendship group that can count on one hand the amount of times they've been to Anfield / Old Trafford and live somewhere in Lancashire is beyond belief.
  18. Can he play all 11 positions at once?
  19. We're such a weird team - absolutely nobody is up for it today. Three incredibly soft goals - how do you let a player waltz through you like that? JRC has to hit the bench for the next match, he's been diabolical.
  20. Gallagher's touch... good lord. We have to move on from him in the summer if we're serious about a promotion challenge. Wheeeeeey, there's the yellow card for a nothing tackle. Hasn't been booking Stoke all game for cynical fouls though.
  21. Surely someone else must be able to take corners? Morton's are crap.
  22. This referee is hilarious. No other word for it.
  23. That's the problem - the Stoke CB completely misses the ball and Gallagher can't take advantage.
  24. Shame Buckley's injured, this is not the game for Morton.
