The Comms / PR / Marketing team (whatever they're called at Rovers) will have no idea who's coming in. They'll know about an hour beforehand when someone from the operations side says "get down to Brockhall and photograph this new signing".

Khadra doesn't play for us and has never been coached by JDT, so he's irrelevant to this discussion. Hedges has been a victim of his own success / his teammate's failings. He's been shoehorned into the side in a few positions (including RWB) because he's one of the few players on the books that can receive a ball in tight spaces, retain possession and then either pick a pass or beat a man. He's put in plenty of crosses cutting inside from the right - Brereton-Diaz's head is just in Spain so he's missed most of them and Gallagher wouldn't know where the goal is if you gave him a map. Dolan has played mostly as a Pressing Forward (a #9) this season and has really cut down on his pointless dribbling. So, no, I don't think Thomas indicates a change in our style of play. He's an extra option for that front 4 - one that brings a different dimension to what we currently have. Set pieces are also very important, just ask our lord and savior Sam Allardyce.

I'm taking the piss? Give over. As for who he'll cross to - well he'll immediately be our best set piece taker, so everyone. From open play, whoever is in the front 3 alongside him. You don't always have to cross for a header (as lord knows none of our current group can win those).

This place is hilarious. We've just signed a pacey (something we've been missing) winger on a loan who was near the top of the assists chart last year, yet 90% of the posts are complaining about: Who's he going to cross to? Which young winger is he going to replace? Why is there no option to buy? He doesn't score enough. Why are Huddersfield letting him go, what's wrong with him? Lighten up - he was literally mentioned on here earlier in the season as someone we'd (the fans) would love to have - well now we do.
