  1. Not now, no. They've clearly moved on to other targets. I wonder if Southampton getting burned by Armstrong has made them look elsewhere - Brereton is a much better player though.
  2. In the long run they've got way more depth and quality than we have. At the weekend - I think we'll give them a game. On an unrelated note, Steve Bruce does not look a well man.
  3. I loved it when we moved the towels last time they were here. It's absolute bollocks - you shouldn't be allowed to do it at your own ground, but there's no way I'd stand for it at mine. I'd get into a fight if needs be.
  4. Oh absolutely fingers crossed the PL comes and rips the heart out of their team - but right now, bloody hell that front 3 is terrifying. Also this random old bloke with a towel allowing Furlong to dry the ball before his long throw has to bugger off. That shouldn't be allowed.
  5. Watford are terrifying on the counter - they have speed all over the pitch.
  6. Pears should never play for us again. I had to listen to the SKY commentator introduce a Wigan substitute as "You may remember the great goal he scored against Blackburn last season in the FA Cup" the other day. After throwing two into the back of his own net, Pears was so out of position for that strike that I could have scored it.
  7. Everton lost two CBs to injury yesterday - they've just gone out today and loaned in (with an option to buy) Connor Coady. The PL really is a completely different beast.
  8. That's some miss by Rashford.
  9. And here I was thinking you were going to tell us Sepp van der Berg is a worldie, with a box named after him at Deepdale (doesn't take much - they have a David Beckham one) and that we've missed out.
  10. He's definitely full of his own self importance - accusing the players of having anxiety and not being able to handle the situation (for our 2nd and 3rd goals) is rich. My only complaint about yesterday is I felt at times we sat too deep and invited pressure. They never pushed us back with their style of play (they're simply not good enough - Martin mentioned that they're perhaps missing a player that runs behind when clearly they're missing a Xavi) - we were looking to draw them on for the counter, but a few of those chances in the highlights were a result of them being invited into our half.
  11. He'll score quite a few this season if he's that calm and collected in front of goal. The position he's in will lend itself to those qualities - he'll get his chances.
  12. I worry who our backup RB is (it can't be JRC) and in addition to the above I'd love a LB. Beyond that, yeah I think we'd be there or there abouts in the Playoffs with those additions.
  13. Absolute shocker too. Straight red for rugby tackling a player through on goal. He's still an idiot.
  14. First you promised that wins will be in short supply in the new year, now you're accusing JDT of 'coming off the dole'. Jeez - maybe take a break from the board? Evidently you're struggling to handle the optimism around here.
  15. I'm never getting in that team, so I'll go elsewhere? 😉
  16. I'm very much enjoying the moment - I think Dack being moved on would signal a complete change from the previous regime.
  17. He doesn't have the energy of Vale and Dolan, so I can understand in this situation why he's not called upon. I'm just intrigued that after last week's sulking he's left on the bench again.
  18. JDT and his team have unlocked Travis' attacking potential. He looked quite good going forward before Mowbray tried to turn him into just a midfield destroyer. 2 in 2 and both have been crackers.
  19. Vale and Dolan on for Gallagher and Hedges. You do wonder about Dack...
  20. No, it was a switch in formation.
  21. I'd like to see Phillips on for Pickering now.
  22. We've switched to 3-4-3 with Pickering playing CB and Edun playing LWB.
  23. They're not, we're sitting deep intentionally.
  24. Ayala is genuinely a PL quality CB, he holds everything together at the back. He was my MOTM against QPR and he's playing exceptionally well today too. You just don't get enough games out of him. Lenihan asking for parity with him is laughable.
