  1. I'd stop looking at the table if I was you - we didn't sign a striker, the season is over.
  2. Or if only the Chilean wonderboy had scored the one-on-one...
  3. At the end of the day I'm what many would call a 'happy clapper' because I have a season ticket and appreciate the professional breath of fresh air that Broughton and JDT have been. That said, as pedantic as it sounds, if boxes on the form haven't been ticked and an agent's name has been misspelt then that's entirely on us and we don't have a leg to stand on. These are deals for hundreds of thousands of pounds - you absolutely have to dot every i and cross every t. It's a basic administrative failure on our behalf.
  4. You mean Waggot, right? Broughton was with O'Brien in Manchester, then Brockhall.
  5. I mean that and it's a more central location than Blackburn - easier to get to. Not to mention it's a better place (sorry lads, I'm a Mancunian).
  6. The question wasn't followed up on by Yardley. It's implied that the deal fell through, rather that it was abandoned.
  7. None of our players are good enough for me to give one single fuck about - that said I'm not the manager of a club throwing stones in a glass house.
  8. No - in the interview he said they had a striker target on deadline day, but it wasn't followed up on by Neil Yardley.
  9. O'Brien didn't get them there - he was a summer signing that they're now desperate to get rid of.
  10. So he's billy-big-ball'd it with the staff (who aren't going to fire back at him), but he's sent Broughton out to face the music with the media? What a slimeball.
  11. Who has forgiven the Venkys?
  12. The interviewer was talking about the immediate future - i.e. there's a good chance both players have been soured on a transfer to Blackburn Rovers now so wouldn't come even if we won the appeal(s).
  13. Shipping him out 6 months after signing him for £9m, but they like him and they'll treat him like a professional, apparently.
  14. Pretty much. What's clearly happened is Broughton and co have done their job - convinced the players to sign, got the sign off from the CEO and then the Club Secretary has messed up the paperwork (I gather he's quite incompetent). The fact that this was such a big transfer suggests that Waggot, one of only two people that can submit the registration documents to the EFL / FA, should have been on hand to oversee the process.
  15. I'm curious how binding that Brierley agreement is. If Sheffield United are really interested they can surely just blow our offer out of the water with their PL riches in 6 months time.
  16. If he doesn't go out on loan he'll still be in full-time training. He'll just be turning out for the U21s rather than the first team.
  17. It's funny isn't it - I thought the exact opposite. Credit to him having the balls to get in-front of a camera and explain (as far as he's able to given the active appeal AND the fact he'd be throwing the Club Secretary [who clearly is at fault here] under the bus) what went on and apologising to the fans.
  18. I much prefer Forest as a club to Brentford / Brighton / Bournemouth et al... but there's a big part of me that wants them to go down this year. They've brought in 30 players this window, for about £170m. I shudder to think what the wages are - well, rumour has it they're paying Henderson and Navas a combined £250k a week in wages... for loanees. It's just wholly irresponsible management and I hope they're punished for it - cos I'm a bitter, bitter person.
  19. It's perfectly normal for the CEO to be off-site when a £1.5m deal (in wages alone) is being concluded? Seems odd for a guy with such a 'tight' grip on finances to be absent.
  20. They've been a embarrassment for 12 years.
  21. When was the last time a fan protest resulted in a change in ownership? Just look at Man U - despite vigorous protesting they ended up creating a new club because the Glazer's have the kind of wealth that makes you untouchable - like apparently the Rao family does. I've no idea why the Venkys continue to own us, but we're powerless to stop it.
  22. Also goes to show the gap between the PL and the rest. We've battled to the 5th Round of the FA Cup which, so far, has been worth £333k in prize money for us which isn't an insignificant sum. It's just over a month's salary for a player Forest deem surplus to requirements 6 months after spending £9m acquiring him. Mental.
  23. I genuinely don't think he'll be here for the next one.
  24. That striker hasn't scored in 11 games and has missed at least 3 sitters in that time frame. His head has gone, mentally he's in Spain already. We win the Boro and Rotherham games if someone can put the ball in the back of the net - that's 6 points without even thinking about it.
