Honestly I don't need the manager to love the club. I'd be extremely happy with a manager using Blackburn Rovers as a stepping stone to a bigger job (obviously there aren't bigger jobs in world football, but some people won't be told) - that would mean he'd do a professional job.

I was critical of Dolan, but he's come on leaps and bounds with game time. Poveda, for all his skill, evidently doesn't have a football brain. It's no good being able to trick your way past your marker if you look up and don't know what to do with the ball. That happened multiple times today.

4 goals and 2 assists for Gallagher so far - I'm hoping we can trick a team into taking him off our hands. He's an absolute donkey. I'd send Poveda back too. Useless player. I feel sorry for Butterworth who can't get a game for some reason.

First XI is promotion quality. Depth is nowhere - untested Academy graduates and crap loanees.

Nothing wrong with the formation in principle. The problem was we conceded acres of territory in the second half. Such a negative philosophy - we invited them onto us. Gallagher was trying drop off passes 30 yards from his own goal - mental. It's a shocking two points dropped against a very very average team.
