  1. I wore that Utd green and gold shirt once - I'm not proud of it, but I'd forgotten my kit and they wouldn't let me train otherwise.
  2. And they score on the break with a hoof upfield to Obafemi...
  3. The football Swansea play is just suicidal. Their CBs aren't good enough to play it out from the back in the manner they want to - and even when it does work out for them they don't have the CMs to capitalize on it. They just pass themselves into trouble any time the opposition puts on a press.
  4. Honestly I think it's just the club being open to easy PR (and still having some name recognition despite the last decade) and JDT being an interesting appointment (and apparently quite approachable). Borderline world class player during his career, involved with that excellent Danish international side as a coach and obviously won the league twice at Malmo. It's a far better story than say Appleton being appointed at Blackpool.
  5. Why? They don't do anything. They let away fans walk through Rovers fans on their way back to the train station every home match.
  6. Not really - Ayala can't be risked twice a week, so whoever you bring in is going to start half the games during this hectic period.
  7. Bollocks to it - I've seen enough now (seen WBA, Burnley and Watford twice). Keep Brereton, back JDT and we're in with a shot of promotion. We shouldn't be scared of Burnley or Watford.
  8. I hope Watford sell Sarr - they've been incredibly poor since he went off against Burnley.
  9. Further strengthening those on parachute payments. It'll be the same 5-6 clubs yo-yoing every year.
  10. Hope? That's exactly what he's doing.
  11. He never broke out of a jog for that goal - awful defending. I assume it's what he's being asked to do, cos otherwise I'd haul him off.
  12. Kompany is playing Maatsen as an Inverted Full Back (like Cancelo at Man City). In the Championship. Incredibly brave.
  13. He was a brilliant player in his own right - he knows what it's meant to look like. Added to that he's clearly an intelligent bloke and has had a long time to learn how to manage as an understudy (after failing in his first foray into management). Obviously that paid off at Malmo and so far is doing so here. Early days, but it looks like we've made a sensational hire.
  14. If they're that thin at CB whey are they loaning him out?
  15. Well he'd have played against Swansea (JDT made a tactical change and shifted Pickering to CB to accommodate Edun at LWB in a 5) and against Hartlepool... so the minutes will be there.
  16. They must be selling someone, right? They have 3 brilliant strikers (for this level) already.
  17. Unless he did it last night (I wasn't at the match) he's done it once this season, but yes he played with 3 CBs at Malmo on occasion too. I think he likes the flexibility. He dropped to 3 at the back to shut down Swansea towards the end of that game.
  18. The trick is not to engage with him - just follow. It's a source of information (however credible).
  19. Let's hope Carter is your new Buckley.
  20. Yes, it's built on marshland so the drainage is terrible.
  21. Rugby League damages the pitch less than Football. Also the problem at Coventry was multiple, multiple matches on the pitch, not just two in a weekend.
  22. If we've got Barnes, Phillips and Carter I don't think we need a permanent signing at CB unless it's a worldie. A loanee to supplement what we've got while we see whether Carter and Phillips especially can cut it at this level seems very sensible to me.
