  1. Sad state indeed, accusing loyal fans of being piss-weak. That's, quite frankly, a disgraceful comment. I stayed away for several seasons because I couldn't stand the ownership, then I realised it wasn't making a blind bit of difference and I missed spending every other Saturday afternoon watching football with my parents. Absolutely nobody is happy with the state of things at Ewood Park, but no amount of protesting or moaning / booing is going to make a blind bit of difference. The owners don't care. The CEO doesn't care. The manager doesn't care. At this point I question whether the players care either after this latest run.
  2. I had a Utd fan bemoaning the state of things at Old Trafford "our two biggest rivals are going to finish 1st and 2nd and look to do so for the forseeable and we're struggling to finish 7th" on Good Friday. I nearly slapped him. He hasn't experienced pain and despair like we have. He was shocked that I hated Mowbray / the Venkys - "he's done a good job, hasn't he?" The football community just doesn't give a toss, sadly.
  3. Forest are the only team I'd worry about. Everyone else in and around the Playoffs are crap - it's a shocking league this year.
  4. If you can fine me a Rovers fan that's happy with how things are going at Ewood, besides our resident village idiot, I'll pay you £5.
  5. How? Ball blasted at him from 2 yards away.
  6. Stoke commentators lamenting that "if Rovers were top 6 for a lot of this season then Stoke have underperformed". It's like they've not glanced at a form table before the match.
  7. Didn't put enough pressure on the referee, clearly. Van Hecke and Edun were both booked this week because the opposition bitched and moaned.
  8. I wish Brereton got those fouls like the one he's just given away...
  9. He'd lost his head and was in danger of getting sent off.
  10. Johnson is like Downing - you can tell that at one point he was a really good player, but his legs have gone and the game just bypasses him.
  11. 3) Venkys announce that they're selling the club.
  12. We're second bottom of the form table since Christmas - we managed to lose to the team that's bottom of said form table (and bottom of the actual table) on Friday. Our crucial games ended over a month ago.
  13. I don't think you're quite grasping how shit he was against Peterborough. He literally took the piss. He won't make it as a pro footballer with that attitude.
  14. At least Giles has been dropped for his abject display on Friday.
  15. He's currently our best option as a False 9 - he brings energy to the team. Which, as a manager, would make you think maybe this formation doesn't work with this set of players.
  16. Want to bet we'll see a repeat of the Man City promotion game at £10 a ticket? If Bournemouth have anything about them they'll pack the ground for their promotion party.
  17. You can't spend every other post slating Mowbray then use his team selection as a defence of your argument (your personal vendetta against Buckley).
  18. Bloke behind me brought his grandsons to one of the last games - said it was a treat for them doing well at school. The rest of us chimed in "surely you mean they're being punished?" Make no mistake, the vast majority that attend Ewood know we're being served up shite every week. They're just going to go because they're hardcore fans and are trying to keep the club alive.
  19. To be fair, scapegoat number two. He always subs Nyambe first.
  20. It angers me when people suggest those that still go to Ewood are 'apathetic'. There's no 'putting the man under pressure'. We've lost 10k off the gates and have protested previous managers (and the owners themselves). The owners don't even know we've got a game tomorrow - they literally couldn't give a toss about the club. We're in purgatory.
  21. Think I'm going to give this one and the Bournemouth promotion party a miss. I just can't watch this Mowbray led team anymore, it's soul destroying.
  22. Similar to how Hughes ran things at Ewood Park.
  23. His signings, by and large, have been shit, so I don't see how he can argue that two new players would have strengthened us. I highly, highly doubt WBA are that stupid, but I'll take anything to get Mowbray and his mates out of this club. I'm crossing everything that you're right.
