  1. Did you tell him to get clowned by Buckley? Can't get near him tonight.
  2. And again. Three yellow cards.
  3. So where's the Whiteman red card then? Late niggly foul on Buckley for his second booking - Edun got sent off for less than that.
  4. I wish we'd get booked for nasty tackles, rather than lazy / stupid niggles.
  5. This fat, bald shit of a referee is a disgrace. Even the commentator is calling him out on it.
  6. Wharton own goal - shame that.
  7. As always, it's the line for Rovers. The opposition is refereed using a different set of rules.
  8. It helps that PNE are letting us counter them - it's the only way Mowbray teams know how to attack. Preston are, rather moronically, pushing up the field and letting us in behind them.
  9. He often gets them on target - just with absolutely nothing behind them.
  10. That's no different from normal for Mowbray. He's constantly reminding us that it's not 1994 anymore and talking up the giants of football we play every week. He's disrespected our proud club for years.
  11. I'm in the fortunate position that the deadline and ticket price isn't an issue for me. Not knowing who will be managing the team is. As others have said if it's Mowbray - or quite frankly another scrapheap find from a certain agency - I won't be renewing.
  12. Wasn't he meant to be retiring at some point?
  13. So you want to hand the reigns of a multi-million pound company to a 20something year old? Are you mad?
  14. Not all heroes wear capes - you'd have to listen to him drone on for two hours. I definitely wouldn't let him sit upfront, the miserable bastard.
  15. To be fair you've got plenty of time to catch up when the game is on. Don't bother pre or post match, or at half time though as the tannoy is turned up to 11.
  16. To be fair Kaminski and Travis might just recognise that he's a dour prick and told him they won't be following him.
  17. I have a City supporting friend who laments that Liverpool get all the favourable media coverage - much like the Utd fan I spoke to on Good Friday, it takes all of my willpower not to slap him. The fact they were sold to one dodgy foreign owner - who went bust and sold them to an even dodgier foreign owner (although considerably wealthier) irritates me beyond belief. They fucked it up and still managed to land on their feet. Meanwhile our owners continue to choke the life out of us.
  18. He even looks like a see you next tuesday in his profile pic - that's hard to do!
  19. For the record, as much as I dislike the Venkys, I've thought for a long time that the Rovers manager job is a plum one for the right guy. You're literally the King of your own fiefdom if you play your cards right. You could shape the entire club in your image - that's what the Venkys are dying for, a Chris Wilder / Sean Dyche / Alex Ferguson (big gulf between them I know). Someone who's going to come in with a vision and competently pull it off. They've shown that the money is there when they want it to be. Mowbray has lasted so long because he's convinced them he knows what he's doing - let's be honest he's had very (if any) little pressure from them to actually produce the results on the pitch.
  20. The Academy that's currently providing 5 of the starting XI? It's literally propping up the side - they'd be mad NOT to fund it.
  21. The next time you see me defending the Venkys would be the first time.
  22. Apparently City are signing Haaland in the summer for £63m. Bloody hell.
  23. He spent £12m on Brereton / Gallagher (£15m if you include Armstrong) and was paying out serious wages. FFP has to be adhered to. He's also built his team off loans - loves going to the PL clubs and offering development time to their superstar-lets. Well that and the 5 Academy players that are propping up his side - the same Academy that he and his mates tried to get rid of.
  24. Sad state indeed, accusing loyal fans of being piss-weak. That's, quite frankly, a disgraceful comment. I stayed away for several seasons because I couldn't stand the ownership, then I realised it wasn't making a blind bit of difference and I missed spending every other Saturday afternoon watching football with my parents. Absolutely nobody is happy with the state of things at Ewood Park, but no amount of protesting or moaning / booing is going to make a blind bit of difference. The owners don't care. The CEO doesn't care. The manager doesn't care. At this point I question whether the players care either after this latest run.
  25. I had a Utd fan bemoaning the state of things at Old Trafford "our two biggest rivals are going to finish 1st and 2nd and look to do so for the forseeable and we're struggling to finish 7th" on Good Friday. I nearly slapped him. He hasn't experienced pain and despair like we have. He was shocked that I hated Mowbray / the Venkys - "he's done a good job, hasn't he?" The football community just doesn't give a toss, sadly.
