  1. In what sense is that oh dear? It's obviously great for England as we've torn the heart out of their batting order. It's also not too bad for Australia as he's good enough to bring them back into it, especially if Martyn stays in at t'other end like he's prone to do. Great match again
  2. Poor batting this morning, let's hope the Aussies follow our example of how not to bat after lunch
  3. It makes me sad when I think about how good he was, and what he's like now . If he ever came back, and this is no exaggeration, it'd be like a £10m signing in my opinion.
  4. Pietersen, Flintoff and Harmison would walk into the Australian side on the basis of the Ashes so far And I rate Watson quite highly, go figure
  5. Puzzled why he didn't just keep milking them for the one every over. It tires out the bowlers for Thursday (as apparently they've only got Warne and Lee ) and well reduces the amount of time they have to bat - it's all going to count. Jones was looking solid enough in defence so that shot was unnecessary. Still can't really complain when he was tonking Lee out the ground all afternoon can I Now we've just got to hope Harmy and Jones have a blinder
  6. It evens itself out agreed, but it was a hel! of a time to lose those wickets, when they were both settled. Ponting is getting rattled, though I still can't see us keeping them from winning
  7. Well played Rudy Koertzen, two fer, kept the total chaseable for the Aussies saving at least one hundred runs in my humble opinion.
  8. Just ordered Brian Lara for the Xbox, it had better be good!
  9. 2000 was my first season ticket, though obviosly I'd been to single home games before that. Some of the numbers you guys are reeling out are astounding, clearly some lifelong supporters!
  10. probably not, however whether he intentionally planned to rearrange Van Percy's face with his shoulder is a different matter. (im thinking not) 317939[/snapback] You could at least get his name right Flopsy, it's Van Muppet, and like Reyes he goes over with a slight breeze (possibly requiring a stretcher, only to return to the field three minutes later)
  11. Why is it always seen as criticism, when someone thinks a player might not be good enough? Pedersen has qualities, no doubt. Most of them from a dead ball, but his all round play leaves a lot of room for improvement. If he can't improve there, he wont make it - in my humble opinion. A lot of folk think he's already there. I see it as criticism because he hasn't done anything to warrant such an opinion. Maybe you're just a huge fan of the flying winger and anything else isn't good enough, who knows, but right now Pedersen is one of our top players (both in form and talent). His dead ball skills are invaluable (especially as nobody else can take a free kick ) and his close control, crossing and general movement all impress me. We can only benefit from having such a player in the side, and once he gets some sort of quality attacking players alongside him I'm sure his value will only increase.
  12. It's a wonder players sign for Blackburn Rovers, if they're not world beaters every game (with no let off due to fatigue, injury etc) then they're criticised brutally by the fans - as they say the Ewood crowd sits and judges rather than supports. Just take Dickov, what the hel! has the guy done wrong this season???! He's scored goals for us, occupied their back line, and defended from the front, not sure what more you want from a 30+ year old midget! As for the Pedersen criticism, well Den isn't watching the same player I am, the guy is a class above.
  13. ! How much is Johansson worth then, £3m?! Well going by those inflated prices you'd get £8m for Johansson As for the game, well Arsenal were just pathetic, a very difficult team to enjoy watching (and we'll leave it at that)
  14. You're right, what Hughes should have done is opened it up against a much superior side and overwhelmed them with our immense attacking talent Yes, because you can't defend and attack. Not with the players Hughes has at his disposal we can't
  15. You're right, what Hughes should have done is opened it up against a much superior side and overwhelmed them with our immense attacking talent
  16. He stripped Garry Flitcroft of the captaincy and dropped him for organising a players' day out at the end of last season without his permission - and the midfielder only found out about his punishment when he read about it in a newspaper. Aha, it all makes sense now
  17. You are aware Sydney is in Australia Bob? Thats Australia the other side of the world. About 12000 miles further away from ewood than Leeds. Excuses excuses
  18. It's got to be Strachan really, just think of the savings we'll make on the tracksuits
  19. Exactly. God knows why Matt thinks he should stay here to have 'one last shot' at resurrecting his career with us, he never gets a frigging chance. Is this Matt 'I'm a idiot who most likely broke the rules of my contract by riding a moped' Jansen Why does he deserve another chance, he's shown nothing
  20. It is though isn't it. Serie A is much more defensive minded than the Prem, with generally better defenders playing in it.
  21. What, taking serious blows to the head because he was prancing around on a motorcycle when he shouldn't have been?
  22. How's he going to do that from the Sweeper position
