  1. My money is irrelevant - it's already been explained in this thread that the £20m they write off every season is pennies to them. My £400 doesn't even register.
  2. He's 40 and retiring this year. Judging by his cameo last night he'd struggle to get in my weekly Weds night game - he can barely move.
  3. They've bullied MK off the part tonight. The Dons are far more talented.
  4. Serious question then - why do they bother? It's a business they have no interest in that loses them circa £20m a year, every year. Why the hell haven't they sold it?!
  5. He really is a legend in his own lunchtime. I wish I had his apparently bullet proof self confidence.
  6. I don't see why that's a problem - I've struggled going to Ewood every week to watch a Mowbray led side, and I'm not one of the 10k that has already walked away so I'm made of pretty stern stuff.
  7. The club NOW has a very small engaged fan base due to a decade of mismanagement. Why exacerbate that by bringing in a 'known' name over a competent manager?
  8. He'd fit our current system (well the back 3 we've just dropped) much better than the 4-3-3. Ask him to he an athlete up and down the flank - something Pickering struggles with. Granted his final ball is still mostly shocking.
  9. I'm all for a manager building slowly at Rovers - just y'know, actually build something. Mowbray has talked about slowly building something, but looking at his squad (and the departures in the summer), he's clearly just wining it from season to season.
  10. If I've learned anything during my time here it's that you don't know how betting works. 😉
  11. I didn't realise he'd resigned from a Russian PL job, Krasnodar, because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
  12. The last manager picked his own boss. I've no problem with spending actual money on a proper manager and giving him free reign to pick the entire staff. It's the only way this mad house is going to succeed anyway - a Wilder / Dyche type who micromanages everything. There simply isn't the structure in the club to believe that we'd hire a competent staff separate to the manager's input.
  13. Director of Football is an entirely different skillset to Manager. That's where his career trajectory is taking him.
  14. The next managed needed to rebuild the fitness and medical side of the club anyway. We're massively unfit and have far too many soft tissue injuries. Mason has jumped before he was pushed imo.
  15. What squad? We have 4 loanees heading back and 3 out of contract players from the starting XI.
  16. Why? If he wants the job then who cares about the Wycombe playoff run?!
  17. He'd have scored 2 or 3 in that period if Buckley had simply squared the ball to him.
  18. That's a cracking shout. He's a media darling like Mowbray too. Off to put my mortgage on Holloway.
