  1. That's been coming - we've been shit this half.
  2. We're still awful anytime the opposition has their defence set - just don't pull them out of position with our movement / passing.
  3. He'll go on to have a much better career than anyone in this side (bar Branthwaite maybe), but he's been poor for a few games now. Just appears to be undroppable. Must be in the loan contract details.
  4. I think Neil is good, but his sidekick is awful. When you actually Google who he is it's no surprise he's awful.
  5. I mean Elliot has been decidedly poor too - he never seems to face criticism.
  6. I do when we're at home, usually. I just find it fun / interesting to listen to other teams' commentators and get a feeling for how the rest of the league sees us.
  7. If he's going to experiment with the front line I'd love to see Brereton get a few games playing centrally.
  8. The QPR commentators on iFollow are BY FAR the best I've listened to all year.
  9. Maybe it's Armstrong wide left, Gallagher wide right, Elliot upfront and Rothwell behind. Now that I've seen them stood still for a goal kick.
  10. I thought the ref handled the Austin situation well, but someone's getting sent off today if he's booking Davenport for that.
  11. I think it's 4-2-3-1 with Elliot playing the Dack role behind the CF (Armstrong). Travis and Davenport sitting.
  12. I'm genuinely amazed that they didn't look to move on from him after his howlers in the playoffs cost them Premier League football last year.
  13. Gallagher plays like he's 5'10" though.
  14. The United commentators crowing finally got to me. I hate that club. At the end of the day it's one of the top youth academies in the country (I shudder to think what they spend on their Academy), supplemented by £20m imports vs a very good Academy that lives off United / City / Everton / Liverpool Academy rejects and the second tier of local young talent (that isn't snapped up by the aforementioned). From the games I've watched this season I think McBride, Pike and Thompson (didn't play today) could all step up into the First XI squad tomorrow and not look out of place - that's a huge win for us and makes the Academy worthwhile. I thought Nolan and Harlock looked decent today - I'd like to see more of them. Brennan flatters to deceive for me - I'm glad we kept hold of him when other teams were sniffing around, but I'm yet to see a great player. Tonight - once our players tired we lost our shape and United just came at us in waves. They have far more talented players, as you'd expect.
  15. It's mental, isn't it? The disparity between the haves and the have nots has never been more stark.
  16. I'm glad we've given this Sideshow Bob wannabe, Hannibal, a good kicking. Huge diver.
  17. Where's the Greek keeper btw? Eastham is doggers - let in three shots I'd have stopped.
  18. Just googled him - he's got his own news article on their website: Amad Diallo joins from Atalanta. Yeah, no wonder he's rinsing Cirino - he legit might be the best player he'll ever face.
  19. 4-5. Our lads are tiring now and United's class has shone through.
  20. The MUTV coverage is like listening to Germany Calling - they're shit scared of praising anything Rovers do or criticising anything Man United do. Everything they've done has been fantastic, they're by far the better team and Rover have lucked into two goals.... apparently. 🤣 I can see why this Rovers team does well in the PL2 - they're hard working and well drilled. Individually they're not as good as some of the United players (they have two lads called Hannibal and Shoretire who look a class apart), but there's a few promising prospects for sure - especially considering we're only asking them to play in the Championship.
  21. You wouldn't know that Evans was a 30 year old international footballer based on this U23 game against Man United. Hardly looks a class apart, even from his teammates(the United team is far more talented).
  22. McBride can't be far off a First XI call up. He looks a talent and he's bulked up since he arrived.
  23. Brockhall is far more difficult to get to than Leyland for the majority. I assume with a statement like that you live just around the corner? 🤣 As for the comment about Burnley - a) they have PL money (although I hear that the new owner has bought the club in a Glazer-type hedge funded backed deal, so good luck AND they're fucked if they get relegated) and b) we averaged what, 24k when we were a regular UEFA Cup side? Burnley can throw money at stands, but they're not going to attract people to sit in them.
  24. Absolutely no need for a new stand - just repair the current one. Having lived near the Ethihad, which I suspect is your inspiration for the Academy Ground on the same complex, there isn't room for one at Ewood. Playing the U23 games in Leyland is fine - we should do more to promote that. It could increase our catchment - we should be marketing ourselves as Lancashire's club.
  25. I bet he's tempted to play 3 at the back with wingbacks. By all accounts Harwood-Bellis is a fantastic player and we know how good Branthwaite is. He's not going to drop Lenihan AND neither Man City or Everton are going to loan us one of their hottest prospects to sit on the bench.
