  1. Mowbray didn't even win L1 with the biggest budget. He absolutely doesn't fit that criteria.
  2. It's an absolutely plumb job - half the managers in the Championship would fancy their chances of getting THIS squad up, never mind if they got £14m to spend on three strikers without having to sell anyone. Fantastic training facilities, PL quality ground (might need a bit of a clean) and apparently the most patient owners in the world - if you're happy to fly to Pune a couple of times a year to kiss their feet. Go find the guy doing the most with the least in L1 / L2 and let him loose at Brockhall.
  3. C'mon, they're clearly both bloody good. The problem tonight was that Barnsley brought on 5 subs (to our 0) and completely changed their shape. They just flooded the final third and overran our back line. It took Tony 15 mins of watching that to make a change - one of which was the absolutely useless Evans. Not to mention it appears that Bennett didn't come out of the tunnel after half time - they had acres of space down their left.
  4. Barnsley have made 5 changes, completely altering their style of play. Mowbray is still asleep in the dugout. Please, please, please walk Tony. You're quickly slipping into the Kean / Could territory of hatred.
  5. Only player in our squad that can actually hold the ball up - but do carry on saying he's shit. It's quite amusing.
  6. We had our best 5 minutes when Nyambe was subbed for Elliot. Mostly I think because Preston are a very limited, but well drilled team and their players were clearly looking at each other thinking "well who the fuck is playing where?!" We had Dack / Elliot / Gallagher (he might have been 'playing' RB, but he went on a mazy run into their box!) / Dolan and Armstrong all on the pitch. They re-organised themselves / we brought Harwood-Bellis on quite quickly, but those subs caused mass confusion in the PNE ranks.
  7. That's because Rothwell has been shoved out wide left the last few games - a position he's consistently shown he can't play. He's one of the first names on my team sheet in CM.
  8. What do you have against Davenport? He's a tidy little player who's a terrier off the ball. I'd play him every week with Travis and Rothwell in a midfield 3.
  9. Have you ever played Fullback? He was covering for his two CBs who went walkabout - it happened twice in the first half and once in the second half. He HAD to pick up the free runner in the middle - that's what any FB is coached to do. Where was Gallagher? Why wasn't he covering their LWB?
  10. Can someone please explain to me what system we were playing when he brought Elliot on for Nyambe?
  11. Ched Evans taught him a lesson. He may be of questionable character, but he's an crafty experienced pro.
  12. The Director needs to have a word with Donny boy. Blatant penalty, shut up whinging about it.
  13. He was playing CB because the two CBs had been dragged so far over to the left hand side. He was picking up a free runner in the centre of our defence. That goal is not on him.
  14. Please sack this disaster of a manager. This is embarrassing.
  15. Rothwell on the left wing. Get this man out of our club. He's an awful manager.
  16. I'm honoured Liverpool have deigned to bless us with his presence.
  17. Has Brereton refused Mrs Mowbray's drizzle cake? How the hell is Gallagher ahead of him?!
  18. He's been poor-average since Christmas. He probably needs a break - he is only 17 after all.
  19. Preston must be the only team he's had success against. He'd never start over Brereton for mine.
  20. Look at the xG, it was a very fortunate 10 points. The loss today was coming - as it always is with Mowbray in charge. It's absolutely time for a change.
  21. Especially when two of those loanees were played out of position and looked lost.
  22. Yep, xG has us as v. fortunate in January. That said we did miss two sitters today.
  23. I mean he took his entire midfield off - he only gave himself the Route One option after that.
  24. Don't kid yourself, he's bulletproof. They've (the Venky's) just thrown £400k+ at a LB that we don't even get to use this year and god knows what the Branthwaite / Harwood-Bellis loan fees were. They won't have been cheap.
