We know it works with Dolan as a False 9. We know it works with Nyambe as a WB. He's asking players to do things they're not capable of with this starting XI - same as it ever was under Mowbray.

The system is fine (albeit I don't think we'll set up this way next year). Asking JRC / Pickering to play as Wing Backs, Buckley to play as a False 9 and Giles to play as a Right Inside Forward is moronic though. It hasn't worked for 6 months.

JRC is as bad as Pickering in terms of being completely out of his depth as an athlete playing WB. He was jogging back on that break, doing the old "look at your feet willing yourself to go faster" rouse for about 10 yards before giving up the chase.

The formation isn't the problem.

Pickering isn't athletic enough to play as a WB. He gets exposed every week.

He's determined to turn Giles into Mahrez, when's he's clearly a LWB. Much like he was determined to turn Rothwell into Benrahma. It's criminal.

We scored 3 goals in 2 and a half months. This year was worse than last - the fact they're comparable says it all about Mowbray.

So not fit enough for Rovers, but fit enough to fly half way around the world and play for Chile. I hope we fine him the wages for all the weeks he's missed.

He's had 4 years to make a back 4 work. We've shipped goals for fun under Mowbray.

Personally I think Nyambe is a better player in both positions, he just can't play both at the same time.

Compensation? Now you're just being greedy. I'd drive him there myself - I'd swing by and pick up his family from Smoggy land too if required.
