  1. As several posters have stated, we're just filling up Mowbray's pension pot. There's no accountability at this club. He's on easy street. At any proper club Mowbray would have been fired by now.
  2. Johnson was there too - both failed.
  3. Elliot has been really poor today.
  4. I'm not an expert on pitch maintenance, but it's not like we have the same issue as the DW Stadium - we've seen luscious pitches at Ewood. If the groundsman has enough resources and the pitch still looks like this, replace the groundsman. If he's a well respected groundsman, but doesn't have the resources, up the investment.
  5. It's been crap for most of the Venky's reign of terror. They don't care about the infrastructure.
  6. How quickly people forget that Brereton has been our player of the season so far.
  7. Good to see Rothwell shoved wide left too, where he's proven time and again he's a world beater out there. 🙄
  8. It is a wonder that Mowbray is happy to throw these PL teenagers into the fray, but had to have a gun placed to his head to play Travis, Nyambe, JRC, Wharton, Davenport and Buckley. He refers to them as 'young lads' when they're a quarter through their professional careers - they're in their early 20s. Baffling man manager. Baffling man.
  9. His problem, much like JRC, is that he's not an athlete.
  10. He's been floundering for a while, trying to get us to play 4-2-3-1. He stumbled across 4-3-3 in the lockdown, but now this has been found out too. He doesn't have any more answers. He's lost.
  11. He had a shot blocked from a corner, otherwise no.
  12. He's the only one who holds the ball up in our front 3. He needs to work on his finishing for sure, but he's still a work in progress. Most importantly he fucking runs his socks off for 90 minutes and provides a constant outlet. He's the least of our problems.
  13. Fair enough. In Dolan I see a talented (albeit physically limited - he's small and is never going to be anything more than 'quick') player who needs to seriously refine his game before he's ready to start for the first team. That said I'd have him in ahead of Gallagher as a RAM any day of the week.
  14. His lack of effort chasing back for a Doncaster attack - when he's playing RB - would have resulted in me dragging him off if I was in charge.
  15. LOL you can tell commentators only look at the stats. "Armstrong has been in the type of form where if he gets one chance today he's likely to take it".
  16. Stonewall pen that, based off the one Toney got.
  17. I watched the Coventry iFollow feed against them earlier in the season. They had a novel approach of reading out fan tweets / messages during the game. Good lord does that fan base hate Mowbray. I can see why.
  18. Nothing wrong with the back 4 there, they kept their shape. The fact we've got 3 sitting CMs and their player was running free at the back 4 (with said 3 CMs all in picture jogging back) says everything about Mowbray as a tactical genius and man manager.
  19. Lot of low squad numbers and loanees for this to be their reserves.
  20. He was wrong footed by Lenihan's deflection. He was there to tap it in.
  21. In our 4-3-3 formation you have to play Dack in the Holtby / Buckley creative role in the middle 3. He's just too slow to play in the front 3 and playing him as a False 9 is self defeating.
